Figure out what you really want to do in life - whether it be open an animal sanctuary, start your own home-brewing business or canoe every major river in the world. Set a plan in place so that you can achieve your goal.

Turn off the TV, step away from the computer and pick up a book.

Take up meditation.

Do some voluntary work.

Make a promise to yourself to eat healthier and exercise three times a week.

Support a charity or cause you believe in.

Smile at strangers, but not in a creepy, stalking way.

Learn a musical instrument, or practice more if you have the knowledge already.

Budget your money better. Then take your SO and splurge on a short break/fancy meal/special gift.

Reuse and recycle.

Play games with kids - your own, nephews, nieces, etc.

Hold your tongue on occasions. Ask yourself if it's really worth it.

Walk, ride a bike or take a bus sometimes.

Grow something (legal).

Be incommunicado sometimes. You don't need the cell phone/Blackberry 24 hrs a day.

Listen to a radio station, TV news station or read a paper that conflicts with your point of view.

Talk to your relatives more often.

Take lots of photos. Memories fade.

Be creative - art, sculpture, writing, etc - even if you think you're no good at it.

Learn to cook. Have a least one meal that blows people away.

There should be at least one day a week that you go outside and don't care how you look.

Talk and listen to old people, even when they're not very interesting.

With your SO, remember how you were when you first met. Try to be like that.

And, most importantly, never take advice from strangers on the internet.

Have a nice day, Marc.
