NVC will not require anything from you...

YMMV

Get the I-134 affidavit of support form filled out along with the tax returns that go with it. This is the biggest hassle out of the next list of things to do (especially if you need a cosponsor). The other forms only take a few minutes to fill out online so don't worry about them yet.

Congrats!!

Nope NVC needs nothing from you. You can contact them by calling this number...

603.334.0700

Now, like mentioned above, start with your I-134 and fill it out, gather your letter from employer, bank statements if necessary, your w2's/tax returns, evidence of relationship (everything that falls under this category)!

Congrats, you're one step closer and you're almost finished!

I'm glad somebody asked about this.

I included tax returns, bank statements, evidence of relationship and all that information in my original I-129F petition (as requested by attorney).

Will I need to gather all this stuff again? Or will attorney need to send it again? Why wouldn't it be sent from VSC along to NVC, and then to US Embassy?

Unless I am missing something, it seems like we're doing some of the same work twice.

BTalley,

you didn't need to send tax returns, bank statements to the USCIS. That wasn't required. You only needed to include the forms required for I-129f as well as proof of meeting WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS.

In fact, they might have just thrown all the extra stuff away as it isn't required.

So yes, you need to gather all this information again. Anyways, it's best to have current bank statements, letter from employer, etc., for the interview stage, as this is the only time that this other extra information you included was needed.

So no, you aren't doing the same work twice, or you aren't supposed to at least. You will have to, however, if your lawyer sent all this stuff WITH your I-129f petition packet. Are you sure he/she did though? I am not sure why they wouldn't know that this isn't required and isn't needed by the USCIS at this stage.

I'm not sure if my lawyer sent all that to USCIS.

But since it was on the original checklist, I gave it to them.

I will see them on Monday anyway, so they should be able to clear it up for me.
