If it's 5 miles, why do you need new wheels?

My car's transmission is done....too much to replace...I can either buy another older, commuter car or get a motorcycle.

Yep. My biggest mistake was not taking it to a reliable mechanic and have it looked over thoroughly before I bought it. Lessoned learned, although considering I was putting over 100 miles a day on it and the fact that it lasted me 5 months was that bad. I basically got what I paid for...an older car with a lot of miles.

u can save with gas...but just be careful when driving

Agreed. Those things are deadly if you don't know what you're doing!

It's not Steven on a motorcycle that scares me. It's being outnumbered by cars that don't even look for motorcycles.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Steve, seriously! DO IT! At the same time just be aware of the traffic around you, AT ALL TIMES! The rush you get from it is unbeleivable, A 30 mph crash in a car is nothing! Do it on a bike and your DEAD! While you ride, your mind goes to a place of survival and all the bullshite of the day disappears. A simple crash on a motorcycle is pure PAIN!

You got "CONFIDENCE"? Thats the question! It's a question you ask yourself before you make the purchace. Get on that bad boy and ride Brutha. The question now is do you take the next step?

Scary huh? The danger is VERY REAL!

I hope you make the move pal, and keep the rubber side down! Saddling up on two wheels is a challenge, to say the least. The gradification that comes from it is "HUGE"! Everyday that you throw your leg over that seat and fire her up brings on a thrill.Give a nod and a wave at the buthas riding by you. Good luck Steve.

Live by it! LOL.
