I am the boss. My power is fairly absolute. I tell my husband to jump and he asks 'how high?'. Occasionally, I might entertain him by allowing him to decide what socks to wear today, but just today.

Excellent, but it works better if all the socks are the same colour and you say not that pair

For me husband is the boss. husband/father's as the head of the family so thats the BOSS!

Reminds me of a sign my Dad had up in his workshop . . . "I am the BOSS . . . and I have my wife's permission to say so!"

Quite honestly, in my husband's and my relationship I don't think either of us is 'the boss'. We tend to take turns sharing the responsibilities and decisions, and both of us are pretty well always 'receptive' to the other so that we tend to 'negotiate' rather than have a definitive decision maker 'boss' type of relationship.

And of course, it really is the cats who are in charge.
