outside processing time

I just checked USCIS for the first time i a while. I sort of gave up after the constant disappointment. I see the CSC processing time shows Nov. 17 now. Mine was received Nov. 1. Should i call? will someone actually look at my file this time?

what do you all think? hate to waste my lunch on hold again.

To be honest calling might be wize, but to them there is no such thing as outside the processing time. They have a billion excuses.

I would call, but they may have you down as the date on your NOA1, that is what they have me down as. Just be sure to let them know that the received date or Priority date on the NOA1 says November. What have you got to lose?

Give it a bash ... but just bear in mind that your NOA1 date is not November and that's what the tend to go by ..... you have nothing to lose .... I hope you get someone nice.

They will take your Nov. 1st filing date, doesnt matter when your NOA1 was sent. There has been a lot of dispute about this on here but i for one have never had anyone tell me that I filed on Jan 24th, they have all acknowledge my filing date. I would give them a call, what will happen is they will put in what is called a service request, the service request means that they have 30 days for an officer to look at your petition and then an additional 30 days to give you a response as to what is going on with your petition. Use your filing date, it is accepted.

well, i did speak to someone nice actually. she said my date was february, i said november. she asked me to read the date on my noa1 and i did. she said, oh,you are out of our processing time. it seemed like she was changing something on the computer. then she said, well, we can't do anything until 30 days outside of processing. please call back in two weeks if you don't hear anything.

i can't say the result is great, but better than i expected. at least i know i don't actually have to live with a february date.

That's super news that they can diddle with the NOA1 date .... makes you wonder why they don't just put everyone's dates as when the files arrived .... obviously far too difficult for them to begin with.

Maybe as they know there's a caller who's on the ball with the processing dates, they may just adjudicate your case as they know you'll be on the phone in 2 weeks and they have to do something about it then ..... my fingers are crossed.

Nicole, yes, it's arrived and I have a case number .... fingers crossed it will go thru quickly .... it's really come at the 11th hour and 59th minute, that's for sure.

It is not the greatest news, but at least they did input the fact you are outside the processing times. I would def. keep an eye on it, I have a feeling an approval is coming very soon!

Thats very good news Mike, I hope she/he requested your case to be pulled and placed for adjudication! BTW, the same thing happened to me, they quoted the date they entered it, I politely explained that my case was filed and the received date was for Oct, they took the Oct date.

I would keep on them....I think you are over due.

Don't pest them too much but if you don't do anything, it may not be moving forward.
