Thank you for your response. I spoke to my babe yesterday and he helped me feel better. I'll just keep going until school sarts up again. I'm sorry for my rambling. This is a good source for venting for me  Anywho!

I hope you DO get your NOA2 in 2 weeks. Yours is pretty darn close to ours. Mine was started on the 18th of March. I'm still thinking i wont get an NOA2 any later than mid August. I hope... There ARE still a whole bunch of Feb filers left. But in our favor, it looks like the website isn't working properly with updates.

Every time that I have called USCIS they just tell me the same thing. That they are working on (now Dec 18) which is weird. I'm not sure how that works if there are Feb approvals. I don't seem to get any answers at all. I've called 3 times total. Well. Good luck again. Have a great weekend :)

When/If they ask for your original birth certificate they simply mean a certified copy, which is an original raised seal certificate from the County in which you were born. They don't mean your very first birth certificate that you may have received upon your birth. ;)

Also, the uscis is going to only give you standard reply's when you call as long as you are within the timeline stated on their website...which are usually way off. ;)

I just ordered a certified copy of my birth certificate. Figured its good to have just in case we'll need it in the future.

Plus, I was able to do it all online....so it was pretty easy.

Josh and Nathalie..... May i ask you where you did that? I'm thinking i should do that.. What i did was the actual packet that I sent to the USCIS, well... I made 3 copies. I gave him one, and kept one for myself. It's an exact copy. He has a color copy of my BC and my Passport... But I'm wondering if that is not enough for the interview. It's true that it is good to have it just in case... I just REALLY don't want to send that... Thanks you guys.

Look up the state of your birth at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/howto/w2w/w2welcom.htm and click the link to take you to your state's website with instructions on how to get a certified copy.

Wow, looks like good things are starting to happen....

I am getting so excited just thinking about the next coming weeks around here for all of us March people. I admit that the February thread is exciting too, because those are the people right ahead of us. But let us all just hang in here to support each other PLEASE.

Congrats on the successful telephone call. Yes, the web sites are just not showing any progress, but being here and actually reading that progress is indeed happening is even better than checking the sites all of the time.

God bless us all

ok guys here what i read on other thread ddint know if u guys able to read this here, but this is the tips we use for calling , so try this guys and hope it works like us. good luck to all of us.

Call 800-375-5283, then hit 1,2,2,4,2,1; enter your receipt number; hit 1,1. (There is no need to wait for all of the recorded options to be read before you hit these buttons.) The recording will almost certainly say that "additional evidence is required," but don't necessarily believe it.

When the phone rings, you should be speaking with an actual Immigration Officer (not a clueless front-line screener who can tell you only what you already know). If the recording said that "additional evidence is required," ask the ImmOff exactly this: "Why does the recording say that I have a Request For Evidence?" He/she will almost certainly tell you that there's no record of an RFE; thank him/her profusely.

Then (or first), ask exactly this: "Will you please tell me exactly where in the Division my file is?" He/she will tell you. Then say exactly this: "I'm aware that several files received after mine have already been approved, and the USCIS website clearly says 'we process applications in the order we receive them.' Will you please send an e-mail to the floor, and ask the person at the ____ station [whatever the ImmOff told you] to please hand-carry the file to the next station?"

The ImmOff will appreciate your "speaking the language," because it is so different from the usual plaintive "do something!" that they hear all day, every day. The e-mail should at least cause one of the processors on the floor to handle your file, and your record on the USCIS Case Status website may soon reflect a "touch."

I more or less followed these instructions. I did select the phone system options that he suggested, but I didn't try to "speak the ImmOff's language". I also didn't imply that I thought there was an RFE for my petition. To me, that's just being dishonest. In the end, I didn't get any information (as the OP suggested I would) at all. I don't know if the touch was a result of my call or not. But, I doubt that it hurt anything. If you do call, it will be interesting to see if you get a touch.

Girl,

Let's just be patient :) Our time is coming so much faster than we realize. If i were you, I would wait out the two weeks and see if you hear anything. Also, keep us posted. We are a lot closer than we think. I have a wonderful feeling inside. They seem to have picked up a bit, which we should see more approvals this week. I've been watching Igor's time line and it looks like they have some late Feb approvals. Hopefully that means they're picking up on March. Remember that there are a WHOLE Bunch more files than this website. This is just a small fraction. I wouldn't be calling too many times, until you reach your actual "expected" time (6 Months). So really, we are getting approvals faster than we SHOULD be. Let's be thankful. :)

Thank you for the tip. I am going to just wait it out, because I want my "touches" to happen because they are acutally working on the case. That will be more exciting to me than generating a touch by a phone call. I really agree with jmmr....I have a feeling that things are going to start moving and shaking for us very soon.

NO touches for me yet! But I hope it means something good in your case!!!

USARMNYNURSE- I didn't mean to be offensive  I just think this is a frustrating case to be patient for everybody. I wouldn't want to keep calling them repeatedly because it could cause delay on the case. Just be careful ok? Oh and I'm a girl :star::P If you do call, and it seems to have worked for you, let us know, ok? still keep an eye out for that NOA2 within the next couple of weeks. :)

Stevi- I'm so glad you came back to say hello :P

On another note!! Today feels like an awesome day. I had a dream last night, it was one of those really short "clip" type of dreams. I walked to my mail box and THERE WAS MY NOA2!!! Heeheee :D Even though it was only a dream, it sure made me feel so happy today. I keep telling everybody how happy i feel. I just try to look at everything in a positive way. Things happen for a reason. And those things that are negative, we need to learn to use them to our advantage and learn from them. I hope everyboy else has a wonderful week.
