Alright, so.....medical is re-scheduled for the 29th. Glad we're going to be getting that out of the way. The consulate should have received the packet yesterday...so the long wait begins for the interview. From what I've been reading in the Montreal group it looks like it's taking about 2 months to even GET the letter, and then a possible month for the actual interview :crying: Looks like I'm in for an almost NOA2-like waiting period. *SIGH*......will this process ever end?

Have a good weekend all

Hey Amy- I'm glad he's able to get the medical done soon. I hope that it doesn't take that long to get the interview date. I think I've been more impatient after the NOA2 than I was while waiting for it! Good luck to the both of you, hope he gets a letter soon!!

Amy, any progress that you make is PROGRESS nonetheless. I congratulate you on taking yet another step towards "togetherness". It won't be too long in the grand scheme of things.

Caity, I agree with you. This wait seems more torturous than the NOA2 waiting period for some reason. I think it is because we lose a little bit of control and structure at this point, and that we also lose the close connection we had to our K1 "peers" a little too, because this is the point at which the differences in the embassies becomes apparent, and we start to go into different directions at differing rates of speed.

In other words......This immigration process still s*cks, and I pray that one day, there will be a better process put into place. A more "user-friendly" process. A more empathetic and compassionate immigration process. A warm-fuzzy process.......maybe NOT!

I gotta get some sleep. I am having yet another bout of insomnia

Peace

haha- I love it. Yeah, like maybe the petition could just consist of a picture of the two of you together and that's all. And then the interview, the couple could go in together and just say "We love each other so much, can we please have the visa?" And voila- everyone is happy.

I plan on sending all the documents off to Angel next Wednesday. I'll have them ready probably by tomorrow, but wont' get a chance to go to the post office. Hopefully they will get to him safely and quickly!

Have a good Friday everyone, the weekend is almost here :)

Thanks Caity =) Well, it's seems that everyone in the Montreal group who were waiting for their letter all got them yesterday and today, lol. Someone had suggested that they send them out in mid-month batches and it sure seems that it happened that way. So....we are hoping and praying that ours get's sent out in next months batch for an early to mid November interview date. Which will work with our tentative date of David's coming home on December 18th. We'll see what happens!.

Amy, any progress that you make is PROGRESS nonetheless. I congratulate you on taking yet another step towards "togetherness". It won't be too long in the grand scheme of things.

Stevi, you are absolutely right. We ARE making progress, I'm happy that every step we take is one step closer to being together. And I try so hard to not be impatient.....but......*sigh*....well, I'm preaching to the choir here, you all know how frustrating this process is and how badly we miss our loved ones =( Thanks as always for the words of encouragement, you're an angel :innocent:

Hello friends,

How sad- our thread is on the 4th page. I'm gonna try and keep it alive for a little while longer :) I sent all the remaining documents (I-134, NOA2, invitation letter...) to Angel today. Sent it through FedEx and it should get there hopefully in a few days. FedEx lady was not nice and had no idea what she was doing.... but let's hope it gets there anyway!!

Anything new?

Good job Caity, getting those papers to Angel. I surely hope they get there alright!. Nothing really new here, it's been a week now since we sent off packet 3...probably won't hear anything for a month. David is getting ready for his medical next monday....that's about it =)
