Hello everyone :star:

It's Friday, once again! Summer is almost over, and my classes start in one month!! I'm excited!!!! Here I go again with my crazy schedules  I love it though, keeps me on my toes! I have been having to work out of town in a place named Waterville, Washington AKA Hick town! So many weird people live there!! I've been working there at the branch because they are short-staffed... but it was an experience! Lot's of strange folks :hehe:

Still nothing new. Same same same. No packet yet. I give it 2-3 weeks... nah 2 weeks! I feel it in my bones! I also need to dye my hair before he comes!!! My grays are hideous!!! :bonk: Too much stress!

I have my paperwork just about complete; I have my 157 on my computer uploaded so I can finish it this weekend. I have been tired from driving back and forth.

I have been putting off looking for places because it just excites me too much and I let myself down knowing that it's not the right time yet! :bonk:

I am SO glad you guys are all moving right along  Everything seems to be going well. And stevi...those bumps are nothing ;) Keep your head up! :)

Caity! Enjoy this moment because it won't be long until you will be together forever :star: Enjoy this last week of knowing that this journey is just about over. You are THAT much closer :)

Congrats to everybody! Much love. (F)

I'm still here :)

I haven't been logging on too much. I still swing by to check to see if anyone has any updates, but I am guessing you guys are super busy with your interview/gathering documents process, rightfully so. :)

I went and played bingo for the first time today! My friend won 126 dollars! Lucky Biotch!!! It was fun but somewhat boring after a while.

I hope you guys are doing good :)

Take care!!!

Hello

Hello

Is anyone Home?

Hello Stevi...and everyone else =) Thank you for the welcome home!

So, here's what's been going on here for the past week, lol.

On Friday our co-sponsor decided that he wasn't going to help us after all...long story =( So I was upset and as a result, I got sick :crying: Still recovering from all that, but suffice to say, we are still alright because our back up co-sponsor, my dearest and oldest friend (bless her heart) has come through for us, and we now know that she doesn't miss the requirement by $2000...she surpasses it by $2000!!! YAY!

While I was gone, I received not one but two identical letters from NVC saying that they received our petition and that they would be forwarding it to Montreal. The only difference was that one was dated the 11th and the other was the 12th....I'm confused, but as long as it got forwarded, that all I care about! =)

And it did...because yesterday David got package 3!!!!....we are so excited, but I'm ashamed to say we aren't totally prepared like I wanted us to be. I would say we will have everything and will be sending the checklist within two weeks. I can't believe that we are only one step away from the interview and David having the visa FINALLY. It's such a wonderful feeling, I think I'm WAY happier at this stage then when the NOA2 came through. But anyway...there's my update =)

How are things going with everyone else?

Hi Amy, it's good to hear from you again. I see you have been experiencing some ups and downs too. I know what you mean. I just keep reminding myself of all that I have learned since the beginning of this ordeal.

I hope everything goes smooth for you from here on out.

Thanks Stevi =) Yes, there have been ups and downs through this, this has been one of the hardest times of my life. But I just keep focusing on the end result, and it helps.

Still gathering documents...but our biggest problem right now is, David has called the office in Toronto a few times to book his medical, and apparently no one answers the phones there, he left a message, but who knows when they will call back =( So that's where we are at the moment. How is everyone else doing?

Congratulations Maria!

Your process is so much different than ours when it comes to Packet 3. It seems like you wait longer to get it (and why is it that YOU get the packet?) BUT then when you get the packet, you are able to just schedule Jorge's interview, book his ticket and poof, he's here in just a matter of a week or two!!

Mexico seems to be such an easy Embassy. I don't know, it just seems so nice.

I am happy for you, and I am glad to see that you have been RE-energized. Our thread needs some invigoration.

Taiwo sent in his checklist today, so all of Packet 3 has been submitted.

We will now wait for the interview date, (By the Grace of God), that is what my Taiwo says all of the time. I love to hear him say that. It is so soothing to me.

I hope everyone's doing well. I have been consumed with work and with watching CNN lately. Time is flying by with the elections and all. The next few weeks are going to be so hectic for us all, with visas, hurricane recovery, relocations, presidential election, and transitions into our new lives with our new life-partners.

Until Later,

Peace

Hello my fellow Marchers....

Well- I got back from Mexico this morning around 4 AM. I'm pretty exhausted right now, I have't really slept too much the past few days. It was very hard leaving, as it always is. However, after saying goodbye to him 7 times in the last 3 years, I truly believe that it was our last goodbye. Even though we have had to say goodbye so many times, it's certainly not something you get used to. I'm home with my family for 2 days and then off to move into my new apartment to begin my last year of school! So, I'll be keeping busy, which is good. Not that I will miss him less...

Good news- along with Maria, I also received the packet from the embassy today. What a blessing- the only day I am home that the mail comes, I get the packet. It was a pleasant surprise! Now I just have to gather the information for the I-134 and send Angel the rest of the information he needs, and soon he will be able to go for his interview. I cant wait until that day comes- hopefully it will bring so much happiness and joy we won't know what to do with ourselves!!

Well, I hope that everyone is doing well. I'm off to rest a little, I'm making an authentic Mexican meal tomorrow (smuggled chiles and cheese in from Mexico...) so I'm quite excited about that!

Take care,

Caity Rose

Thanks for the update Caity Rose, and welcome home. And again, congrats on packet 3. I really think it is nice how both you and Maria have received your packets on the same day. To top it all off, this is ALSO the same day that my Taiwo sent back his packet 3 :jest:

I'm always amazed at "coincidences" like that. Good luck to us all.

May our angels continue to work overtime on our behalf.....

Rest well Caity Rose, and goodluck with the Mexican meal tomorrow.

I am very happy for you guys. All of us marchies are moving right along. :)

Caity-That's too cool that we are tied. Jorge would like to fly up to Juarez on the 8th. We'll see if that is possible. I still don't have a place. I will probably see if that other one is available, or others like it for the end of Sept. My dad says he can live here while we look for a place. I really don't want to do that, though. We'll see. So far everything seems to be going smoothly. Phew.

Stevi- You are so close too!! It won't be long before he gets to go to his interview. HOW FUN! Packet 3 is sent off. Now you guys wait for the interview date, correct? Are you going to accompany him to the interview?

I'm sure Josh is busy with interviews and such. I'm hoping he got nathalie up here by this week. He did say first of sept right? Maybe they are busy catching up ;) Josh- if you're around, give us an update.

As for everybody else. Keep us posted; i like knowing where we all stand. We are pretty tied with one another. This was cool because we are all from different countries and it shows us how different they do process cases.

Good luck to everyone. The journey is almost over. :)

Awesome to hear that your packet 3 is all done and submitted Stevi! Just one step more till Taiwo comes home...how EXCITING!! :D The next few weeks are certainly going to be hectic, but so exciting at the same time!

Take care,

Caity Rose

Welcome home Caity! :D I agree about the saying goodbye. It has been SO hard every time, but this time was different...we knew that this was the last time and somehow it made it a bit easier. Good luck with the new place =) and CONGRATS on getting packet 3! One step closer already  Have fun making your illegal yummy meal :P:whistle:

So, where I am...we decided that (since I have a printer) I would submit the DS156 and print out the copies and then send them to David. Which we did, and he still is trying to get a hold of his dates of military service (he can't remember, lol) so as soon as he get's those and he receives the papers I sent...he can submit and wait for that magical interview letter. Also still waiting for someone to call him back from the place in Toronto that does the medical exams, probably after the holiday on Monday. After the 4 month wait for the NOA2, I'm just so impatient! hehe....I don't want to wait anymore!

Hi everyone! Glad to hear everything is moving along so smoothly with the rest of you! Just wanted to pass along some awesome advice I got in another board (Regional: South Asia). I posted a question as to what others experience was after submitting Packet 3 - how long to wait for the interview, ect....well someone suggested I call the DOS (Department of State) to find out the interview date after we've waited 2 weeks since the packet 3 was submitted. So I called today - #202-663-1225....I held abt 30 mins for an operator though. Very nice woman asked for my case number and applicants name. She was able to tell me that the interview is scheduled for October 8th at 7:30 am! Packet 4 went out on 22nd August, so if my fiance doesn't get it in about a week, she said to contact the consulate directly. So I suggest if you are waiting for an interview date and it has been abt two weeks since you submitted Packet 3, doesn't hurt to call and see if you can get your date! :-)

Good luck everyone!!!!!
