I have a question. For the interview... do they want the original of EVERYTHING? I mean receipts, plane tickets and stuff like that. Or do they just want originnal forms.

Hi Maria,

I have read this same question quite a lot around the forums, and I remember having the same thoughts.

But the originals that they are needing at this point are those of the beneficiary, since we (The Petitioner) have already provided our "proof" of being US citizens with our I129F's. HOWEVER, I sent Taiwo all of my originals anyway (My birth certificate, my late husband's death certificate, the NOA's and the NVC letter). Although it is not necessary, I decided from beginning that it is better to be safe than to be sorry later.

But actually, it is JORGE's originals that are needed for the interview. I am writing this while working on something else, so if I forgot something, I apologize. I am sure that someone else will fill-in whatever blanks I missed. I sure don't profess to knowing everything in this maze of a process.

Until Later,

Stevi

Hey everyone. Hope you all are having a great week. Sorry I haven't been around much...I keep starting to write something..then I end up watching the Olympics and forgetting to post. :)

Last Friday I signed the lease on our apartment. So we have a place to live whenever Nathalie gets here. Right now it’s completely empty. I was planning on buying the bed before she got here...but she says it’s a "big decision" and she should help me with this. I guess it’s a girl thing. To me...a bed is a bed.

I mailed off all of the packet 3 forms and evidence and stuff to Nathalie on Monday. UPS says it should arrive today. I guess now we just play the waiting game until her interview next Tuesday at 12pm.

Oh..I also purchased plane tickets for us for September 1st...so hopefully she gets approved and gets the visa next week...otherwise, I guess I will need to reschedule.

I'm really nervous about next week. I'm pretty confident the interview will go okay...I am just worried about if we will get the visa in time. *crossing fingers*

I haven´t been around much either, trying to soak up all my time with Angel...

Take care everyone!!!!!

Hi everyone!

Sorry that I've been MIA for a while. Got back kinda late last night, and had to get to work early this morning. I had a WONDERFUL time with my love, it went by too fast and of course I already miss him horribly :crying: But we just keep telling ourselves that he will be home in a few months and it helps. I have a lot of catching up to do so at some point I will be reading up on all the posts, just wanted to pop my head in and say HI

We'll see what happens. If she gets approved at interview and gets the visa next week..then yes, it looks like september 1st.

I'm kinda anxious to get out of my parents house too. I don't like living alone, so I'll stay here until Nathalie gets here. :)

Hi, It's me just checkin' in,

As usual, this week also started off with a frantic frenzy. Sometimes I wish it was still Pre-NOA2 days again, because back then, it was just a matter of waiting for approval of the petition. Now, it's all about work. Not that I have to do from my end anymore (for now), but being the control freak that I am, I am doing most of the work during this process, while freeing my foreign fiance to be the one who continues to educate himself on his transitional period. And I also need him to continue studying those architecture manuals as he plans to convert our one-level home to a two-level home next year. I really need that penthouse suite I've been dreaming of for the past few years. (Actually, it will be just another bedroom).

I wont go into the details of this weeks problem, but suffice it to say that we have probably been set back about 3 weeks before geting an interview. And also suffice it to say that I predicted this all along. It was going too smoothly, and I JUST KNEW something was on the horizon. It's not pessimism, it just realism.

Oh, well.........pray for us please.

Hi there,

Yesterday Sid submitted all his info for Packet 3 to the US Embassy in Mumbai. They told him that the interview will be scheduled in 2 months! That's a bummer b/c I was hoping he'd be here by October end, at the latest....oh well, now I'm thinking November....not too far off, but enough! :-) I was looking at the interview schedule online and it looks like someone who has NVC case number from July has an interview on Sept 4th! That's crazy!!! I thought I read somewhere that the case numbers from the NVC are julian dates? Does anyone know??

Hope the rest of you are able to get your interviews scheduled very soon.....Take care and keep smiling!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a slow week in our thread. I am guilty of not writing as much as usual, but had to iron out those details. Surprisingly, it was not as serious as I thought. We were worried about a police report being authentic, but were able to contact several people on VJ, as well as a few of Taiwo's family members in his native land to confirm everything. So, yet another feeling of relief.

Thank you Maria for the positive thinking. And I'm sure packet 3 will arrive to Jorge shortly.

Caity Rose, as your trip nears the end, just remember that it wont be long at all before you are re-united permanently. No more having to say good-bye.

Bevs, I still feel warm feelings when I read your posts. You put so much emotion and compassion in your words. You are such a sweet person. That's great that you have both the medical date and the interview date already.

JLRSRK, I'm sorry you have to wait a little while longer, but as we always say, if you can get through what you've gotten through so far, you can handle a little while longer. I know it is easier said than done, but I hope it flies by for you.

Amy, welcome home. It is good to see your cute "Amy heart David" again. I love that signature.

Josh, congrats on signing the lease. Just imagine all of the living and loving that will soon be occupying those empty rooms. It won't be long....

Angelbelle - Where Are You? I miss you my little sister.

Well, I am going to spend my Friday night watching CNN. That is my idea of an exciting Friday for now. Once my honey gets here, we will REALLY do something exciting on Fridays.....maybe watch CNN TOGETHER!

I really do have a life - really
