Hello Everybody! Looks like you guys are all coming out to say hello! I'm glad to see there are a lot of Marchies out there still :)

Good to hear from everyone. I wanted to respond to each thread with Congratulations, Happy Birthday, Good Luck, etc....but I still have a "mental block" when it comes to attaching the exact quotes for specific posts. I usually grasp things really quick, but this simple technique baffles me.

So please accept my acknowledgments to all of my sisters/brothers here in our thread. I promise to practice all weekend and conquer this "quote attaching MONSTER".

And Maria, I have to add that I was wondering why you had gotten so quiet around these parts...I have become totally stressed too in the past few days. It is completely surreal and overwhelming at times, knowing how fast this has all happened. Approved on July 22, Hard Copy on July 28, NVC arrival on July 28 also, and NVC left to Embassy on July 30.....TOO MUCH EXCITEMENT TOO FAST!

So, I have been trying to finalize Taiwo's interview packet. I will be going over only once more instead of twice, because we really need to budget for the money we will need for AOS. Instead of me flying over in a couple of weeks just to help with him getting documents together (WHICH I ALREADY HAVE TOGETHER), I think it would be more cost effective if I just go to provide love and support during his interview, and pray to the Man Upstairs that we will be hopping the plane home to the US together shortly thereafter.

So, as I try to come down off of this cloud of stress, joy, elation, and panic, I will probably be posting a little less too. But I an not going to leave this forum at all.

I don't know how many other forums/threads you all take part in, but I have been completely "frightened" in a few of them. Literally!

That is why I come here to seek comfort and "escape" as I am so comfortably able to relate to all of you. We come for ALL different walks of life, races, backgrounds, religions....yet we continue to keep it positive here. We share our ups and downs and comfort those who need comforting. We do not attack each other or pass judgment upon each other. Those few things are worth more than gold when you are going through such an arduous process as we are.

I believe in "tough love" in certain circumstances - like maybe a drug intervention case, but when a vulnerable person, such as most of are at this time, comes seeking help from "peers" that person should be made to feel welcomed with open arms, and mentored by those who have gone through what a newbie might be going through.

I wont continue to ramble, but my point simply is....I appreciate all of you so very much. This is my "comfort zone forum." I won't mention anything negative about the place I just "escaped from" where I almost went into mild heart palpitations.

My mom taught me that if you don't have anything GOOD to say about a person, then just say nothing.....

Enough Said :)

(I hope this post did not seem like a foreign language. I can provide more information in a pm if interested, but I would really just like to move on.)

Suffice it to say that you are all high-caliber, classy, empathetic and loving people here, and I am so thankful for stumbling into this forum many months ago.

Blessing to you all,

Stevi

Hello All :)

Sorry I haven't written in a few days. But I made it to an Italian Coffee Company (equivalent to Starbucks, but SO much better!!) that has wireless internet, so I feel more relaxed writing today- rather than sitting at an internet place watching the clock ticking away and having to pay for my internet time.

Stevi- don't feel bad about not understanding the quote attaching different quotes thing. I usually catch on to things pretty quickly as well, but I'm not getting it either. Just yesterday, I finally was able to track the packages on DHL- after many failed attempts :) Sometimes it doesn't matter if people give you step by step instructions... I'm glad to see you made a decision about visiting Taiwo. I'm sure he will appreciate the love and support you'll be able to provide him during his interview!! It will be so exciting to read the post that you two have arrived safely in the United States- TOGETHER! He has never been here before, right??

Maria- I hope the break you took from preparing the interview stuff helped you. It can be kind of overwhelming. I think that you had posted before that you were glad that Jorge doesn’t know how to do the paperwork, because then you can just fill them out. I think it's funny that you say that, because I'm the same. Angel understands them and wants to fill them out- but since I know more about the process than he does, and how to fill out the forms correctly, I said that we could fill them out together. He seemed to be fine with that 

Amy- any new news on the petition? It will probably be at the NVC soon!! And you’ll be with David in just a few days!! What a wonderful feeling!!!!

Bevs- Good luck to you. I hope you get your NOA2 soon!

Kristen- have you decided what to do about the co-sponsor yet? I wish I had advice for you, but unfortunately I don’t know too much about that subject. I’m having my own difficulties- I’m a college student and my parents are willing to be co-sponsors. My dad makes enough to co-sponsor my fiancé, but my parents file taxes together, so I’m not sure if I would have two co-sponsors then? So confusing…

ManilaIdaho- Hope everything is going well with gathering all the necessary documents!

Alright, to all those I didn’t say anything to- I hope the process is going well for you!! Best wishes to all :)

Caity

Caity

HI Caity =). No, no news on the petition. I think that I should be getting the hard copy of my NOA2 in the mail tomorrow. And from what I've seen from everyone else, the NVC should be getting my petition on Tueday. I'll call and verify that then. I'm TOTALLY confused about how you guys track the packages that are sent..I suppose I'll just be happy confirming that the NVC got it and leave it at that =)

5 more days until I see Daivd...I'm SOOOOOOO excited :D:wub::dance: ...as you all can relate =)

And, on the co-sponsor front I'm pleased to report that all is well, and I even have a back up co-sponsor to boot! I am SO relieved :D

So, I hope that everyone is having a good weekend...and I'll check-in soon!

Caity, I think Amy just clicked "reply" for that quote above. My problem is the quoting of several posts, with the ability to write something after each quote. :) Looks like we just have to teach each other, because I just can't get it right, and when I do try, I ruin the entire post and have to go back and edit. Problem with editing is if someone posts immediately after I hit "add" then the edit feature is no longer available. Oh well....

Amy, I know you are so excited about seeing your honey in just a few days. I'm so happy for you.

I am praying that those NOA2's arrive in the mailboxes tomorrow for you all.

Since I had Taiwo's package already completed and felt a little bored, I went back to the package and made fancy "typed" tab sections instead of the handwritten tabs I originally had, and then I color-coded them. After that, I went over each and every email to make sure we had not written anything that did not need to be read by the immigration people. We don't really write anything "racey" but I just want to have all of them to be appropriate yet natural.

All of a sudden, I have got too much time on my hands. Wow, even though the first part of the process has just taken 4 months, it has been over a year since it all began, so I have been consumed with this process for quite a while. This "downtime" is no fun at all. :(

Tomorrow evening, I will begin making closet space for my HUSBAND in our home. What a wonderful thought. I stood at the bedroom closet last night and visualized his clothing hanging there  Is that TMI? (too much information)?

Well, I am going to relax now for the rest of the Sunday evening. I have my favorite television show coming on soon (Army Wives).

Have a good evening and a glorious Monday.

And where or where is Maria?

Hello to everyone else in our "inner circle". I have you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Stevi

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend! Too bad it's over so soon! I have to go to bed now b/c I have to work at 3am for one of my projects that is rolling in - Yikes - normally I would work out of my house, but our access has been temporarily disconnected...so I have to drive abt 30 mins into the office!! So it's time to hit the sheets now :-)

I did have a question - as I have been getting everything ready to send to Sid. I cannot find my 2005 tax returns....I know it's somewhere in this house, but at the moment I cannot find them! Are three years necessary? I have my W2's and 1040 forms for every year but '05. Do I just need to send the latest or is the three years necessary. Just thought I'd ask before I go back to my accountant and tear this house upside down looking for them :-)

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great start to another work week!!!

Goodnight!

My dad makes enough to co-sponsor my fiancé, but my parents file taxes together, so I'm not sure if I would have two co-sponsors then? So confusing…

ManilaIdaho- Hope everything is going well with gathering all the necessary documents!

Alright, to all those I didn't say anything to- I hope the process is going well for you!! Best wishes to all :)

Caity

Testing, testing, testing

Amy- would you mind quickly explaining to me how you just quoted that section of my post? I can never seem to just quote a part of what someone said, I always have to quote the entire post.... Thanks!

Yeah, as Stevi said, I just hit reply and then I just edited out everything but what I was specifically answering to, i.e highlighted and deleted ;) What I can figure out how to do is quote multiple posts, hehe.

Hi Everyonewave.gifwave.gifwave.gif

Here's how to do it....simply click QUOTE to each post that you"d like to reply to then hit ADD REPLY and it'll show you all the posts that you have just quoted and you're all set to write your reply.

hope this helps :)

Okay....I have inserted "Testing, testing, testing" between the posts I have clicked on to quote, and I am going to now click on "add reply" to see if this works. Here goes....

I DID IT!

THANK YOU MANILAIDAHO...

I missed a spot, but I now understand how to do it. This is a monumental thing for me, and I will now go to bed.

Each morning I pray for a productive day. Not only did I get a lot of things done, but I also conquered the "quote dilemma".

Have a great Monday,

Stevi
