Hey ya'll. i called NVC and they have my case It arrived today woohoo! He said it would take 1-2 weeks for them to ship it out but I will check back later this week. Oh #######! I forgot to ask about my case number I'll call back

Got it This is the 3rd time i called and I always got Clark on the phone I don't think he likes his job very much I told him 'THANK YOU SO MUCH I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH!!!" and he was like, "yea..you're welcome" all mono-tone. It was weird!

Hey Maria- that´s great news!!! I unfortunately (or perhaps it´s a good thing for me!!) won´t be able to call the NVC to find out if our petition has arrived there- since I´m in Mexico. I will just trust that it goes smoothly, safely, and quickly to the NVC and then Ciudad Juarez

Well, just as I suspected! I rec'd my NOA2 today via snail mail!!!!! Online, my case still says "received and pending" and the last update is 7/23....but I'm holding the approval in my hand! YAY!!!!!! So for everyone who is not getting the updates online, don't fret, your approval is probably right around the corner in snail mail!!!! So glad we're now on a faster ride !!!!

YAY!!!!!! So for everyone who is not getting the updates online, don't fret, your approval is probably right around the corner in snail mail!!!! So glad we're now on a faster ride !!!!

Good evening you guys. I have a concern. Since we began this K1 process, I was taking advice from an older woman about this process. Well, I went to speak with her today, and she told me that i HAVE to go to Juarez that it wouldn't make sense that I am applying for his visa and not show up. She also mentioned to me that I am the one who receives the "check list" not the beneficiary. That I am the one that is responsible for the paperwork.... But this is a lady that almost had me file for a k3 when I'm not married SOOOOOOOOOO Should I believe her and fly down? Or should I write a letter? AND From everybody else in this site it looks like the beneficiary receives packet 3, not me..... WEIRD! I'm confooooooozed! I went with my dad and even he thought that she didn't know..... I told her that I'm happy because it looks like Jorge will be here in about a month. She replied with I would give it at least 2 months Talk about bursting my bubble! Well I'm not going to believe her! Because she is going by her "memory" and not research.

On the other hand. We discussed more wedding talk! We have an "idea" of what we are going to do. And jorge's mom wants to pay for my dress; honestly, that makes me feel weird because I don't want her to spend that much. I will make it simple. I want a simple wedding. Nothing too fancy. We know who is buying the food and the beeeeeeeeer (I don't like beer, I like foofoo drinks)... UM We may even have a place lined up!! AND A DJ!!

I don't think I can go to Mexico...there's no way....OY! What's the point if they will kick me out?!?!?!??!

I have 2 apartments that sound good! $650 for 2 rooms; they're nice. One is 2 stories (town house) it's super cozy and the other one is one story. I want the town house...It's much cuter. Gotta have cute.

Let's see what else !

Josh mentioned on an earlier post how to check the shipment from NVC to Embassy... but I'm confused on the number...the number i got from that forum was 'EXP 26 NOV 2007A' and I don't know where you get that... I was thinking that was the case number but it's way different...so how do i find that number for mine? My case is CDJ 2008 ######...... sooo any tips? I"M SUPER PUMPED!

The number will most likely be the day your papers ship to the embassy. So if yours shipped tomorrow, it would probably be EXP 29 JUL 2008A. You'll never know for sure if the shipment has your papers...but its a good estimate.

I'm so happy for you.

Maria, all of your plans sound so exciting. I hope you get the correct information. Are the guides for Mexico not giving you all the info you need? I spend so much time studying the guides and studying the timelines of others with similar cases, that I become exhausted. But even doing that, I still have questions, because I develop mental block due to the overwhelming excitement.

NVC received my petition yesterday. I called them this morning. That was the very same day I received the hard copy (which I have framed next to the NOA1)

I know I will have to take them out of the frame soon, but I love to look at them above my desk at home.

I forgot to add....You get the NVC case number when you call NVC to ask if your petition has been received. The lady was so very nice. She kept asking me if there was any other info that I needed. I also had to change Taiwo's address, because he has moved since we filed the I-129F. I was so relieved to catch it before it left NVC.

Good afternoon everyone! My spirits are just so much higher now that we are getting closer to being together forever! I just followed Stevi's steps in calling the NVC to see if my case was rec'd yet. The woman was soooo incredibly nice and helpful! I rec'd my case number and she said that it should take a week to process and leave their center....then it's completely in the hands of the US Embassy in Mumbai. So it sounds like things are rolling right along nice and smoothly!

If anyone is leary on calling the NVC, don't be - they are super friendly!

Typically, I think it ships out pretty close to the day they receive it. Mine shipped out the day after they got it.

I got my NVC hard copies in the mail yesterday...two of them for some odd reason.

Actually you would put in something like EXP 30 JUL 2008A in the search box. It will bring up ALL the packets sent from NVC. Just go thru the list of location destinations and make a "guess" which one is yours. Note, you'll have to figure out when they sent out your case to the embassy.

Ok, I'm not getting it....I just went to DHL.com and searched on Track by Reference. I put in EXP 28 JUL 2008A and nothing comes up.....shouldn't there have been SOME packages going out yesterday? I guess I don't know? Thoughts? I'm so anxious to see mine go out to the Embassy....even though they just received it yesterday! ;-)

I have been practicing the DHL tracking thing too, and cannot come up with packages ever leaving NVC. It looks like we are both doing it correctly, because I have searched through different threads and read that is the way to do it. For example:

I guess we will just have to keep trying. This will be my new obsession since I don't have USCIS to check every hour anymore like I have done for the past 4 months. I need a new habit.
