Just thought I'd say congrats to those who got their visas already and wish a fast process time for those still waiting!

It amazes me that CSC is doing March applications already (well, Feb and March, I know) --> It makes me hopeful that our process will be just as quick. 4 months til approval would be absolutely fabulous. But, we'll have to wait and see. :)

Anyways - good luck and congrats! I hope the rest of your process is just as speedy!

Good luck to you guys are still left :yes:CsC is getting yours ready! I know it!

-Just to ramble because I am bored- :)

I keep checking for apartments here in Wenatchee...Oh man but they are soo expensive! I'm really hoping that it won't be more than 6 weeks for him to get here! Are you guys going to join your loved ones for the interview? I'm so nervous. i won't get to but I still have a lot to do on this side of the world to prepare for his arrival. My dad is allowing us to stay here for a while, but I don't want that to be the case. I would like to find a place before he flies here. That way it won't be awkward.... I haven't even started to look for a wedding dress!! Have you guys? Our plan is to get married through the court first and then settle down a bit before we even make plans for a ceremony. I think we need to take things step by step because we really don't have the money to afford a wedding like we would like. One step at a time. He has my wedding ring on hold in Mexico but i have NO clue what it looks like. I told him that I want it gold gold, not white gold. It matches my skin tone better :D He is going to surprise me ... I can read him like a book. I heard him talking to my dad over the phone and my dad was giving him his cell #...I know what they're going to do! But we'll just wait and see :) Have you guys any plans on weddings or places to live? Jorge has a job lined up here, it's not 100% but it's probably 95%... I suppose. Tell your stories!!

well obviously I am bored and I am watching True Life on MTV  (good show!) I hope everybody has had an awesome Saturday. Enjoy your relaxing day of Sunday :)

(F)

I'll be going over to London in a few weeks (no set date yet) to help Taiwo complete his documents to send in to the embassy, and I will be taking his organized folder containing all of our "proof of ongoing relationship" as well as the original documents that we sent in for "proof of having met within the last two years." I went a little overboard with all of the proof, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Although I can easily just send them to him, we would prefer to do it together. We are making memories, and we want to absorb as much togetherness as we can. Plus, he wants to take me to his church and introduce me to some of the members there. We did not go when I was there in February.

I will probably just stay about 10 days during that visit.

Shortly thereafter (hopefully shortly), when he receives his interview date, I will go right back to London and support him as he goes through his interview, even though I will not be allowed in the interview with him.

It is our prayer that he will be granted the visa with no problems, and we will then proceed to empty his apartment/flat, and board the plane TOGETHER, and enter through the POE to start our lives together forever!!

We will have a court/registry marriage first, then later, a large reception for our US family. Then, after he is approved for AP, we will go to Africa and have a huge traditional wedding with our family there.

That's our plan (by God's Grace)

Hm... our story. Well, when Angel and I started this process, we thought it would be ideal to plan for a wedding for next summer (2009). I will graduate from college next May, and so we thought it would be good to wait until I was done with school. However... now that this process is going a whole heck of a lot faster than we anticipated- we are thinking he will probably come to Wisconsin next Spring, since the visa is good for 6 months after it´s issued. He´s hoping to get a better job until then, and save save save money. Then, we will still probably plan for a religious wedding in Wisconsin next summer, but go to the courthouse shortly after he gets here to avoid passing the 90 day limit. It´s not ideal, but hey- nothing is ideal about this whole process, minus the fact that it has brought us closer together and that we will soon be together- forever.

I know most people get the visa and then enter the US a month later, but in our situation, it´s important that he save money and that I concentrate on my last year of school before we start our lives together in the same country. Make sense??? So yeah... that´s our story :)

My first post on this forum, yet I have been lurking for several months now ;)

Everybody's so helpful, and just having the stats around is great.

I am so happy for the March filers starting to get approved, and we hope our turn is coming soon.

Things have been very quiet for us since we got our NOA1, but lo and behold, our application was touched today July 27 (they work on Sundays???).

I hope it's a good sign.

BTW, I have email notification turned "on", but I did not receive an email. Maybe it's lagging the web site update?

Anyway, I'll post later for hopefully some good news.

Hey there,

That's great news that your petition was touched! The USCIS actually doesn't send emails if the petition has just been "touched." Once it's approved, then you will get an email. But I think we'll be hearing some good news from you very soon, because this last week there was a trend for March filers- a touch and then an approval. So good luck!!!

Thanks so much!! :)

This is my theory (and it´s a good one)- It was near the end of his work day, and the adjuticator was getting tired. He finished mine, and then yours was next (naturally) in the pile. He looked at the first page, but his eyes started to close because he was so tired (after all, I did receive my email at 12:15AM this morning, hopefully that doesnt mean it´s when he finished it!) and so he put down your petition so he could go home and go to bed. SO- Monday morning when he goes back to his office, he´ll pick yours up and approve it.

Good theory, huh??

Take care :)

I really like that theory...here's hoping that it's true! :D

Hi Everyone,

I have been very busy today, and will try my best to go to bed now at a decent time, but I wanted to say hello.

Welcome Angela and Paul. I also have a feeling that you will be approved shortly. We seem to have a lot of "feelings" here that amazingly come true most times lately.

Thank you ManilaIdaho for your nice words.

Hi Maria.

Caity Rose, that sounds like a beautiful plan.

Hello to everyone I may have forgotten to mention. I am very sleepy, so please forgive me. I am an insomniac, so I have to grab my sleep when it comes over me :(

I hope every one had a great weekend, and I look forward to reading about our next wave of NOA2's coming up this week. Let's hope that we experience another week like last week was. I will never forget last week!

And, I did read somewhere that the adjudicators do indeed work weekends. There are many who telecommute and work from home.

Peace,

Stevi

Hello everybody! I am also very sleepy. I took such a great nap a little bit ago. Me and a few friends had a pic nic at the park; it was fun. One of my girlfriends is having a baby in 2 months and we got her a HUGE baby jumper. It's awesome! Me and Jorge were discussing wedding plans just 5 minutes ago! I'm so excited!! He kept sighing a lot because he can't believe it! He is happy but nervous as well. He actually asked me about a honey moon; something that I haven't even thought about  We want a small wedding, perhaps 30-40 people. I don't know yet. I haven't even looked for a reception place or for the ceremony. I think we will start planning all that when he actually arrives. I also told him about registering for gifts  he didn't even know people did that. He was surprised. He was like, OOH PUT REALLY EXPENSIVE STUFF!! I told him we can put whatever on the lists but people get to pick from it. He thought it was cool. It will be a HUGE help too for us. Especially with dishes and pots and pans. I think I will put that on the registry for our wedding.

I'm so excited! I can't believe we're getting married in possibly 2 months!! WOW!! :bonk: I'm going to have a husband  It's NOW starting to REALLY hit me!

I am going to take a shower and go to sleep! I hope everybody had a refreshing weekend. i get off at 3 tomorrow  Because of a favor I did yesterday YAY I Like short work days, especially if they're paid! Have a great week you guys!! :) :) :) :)
