hey guys.. ya i heard it takes 2 weeks to review the ds230, thats what the operator told me last night.. and ya if we all dont get approved by june 9 then we wil have an aug date :crying:

oh well... we should be grateful since we all are the first ones to try the NEW NVC system.. and we dont have to wait 4 months in NVC

JGAY its ok im sure urs wil be done maybe it is taking 2 weeks now to review dont wory ur almost there!!

rajee if u want to start jus out thread that would be cool.. since we r recent ds230 filers

and oh ya I DID not send my original birth certficate just a copy but my husbands birth certificate was original..

lets keep each other posted!!

Now I'm paranoid because I didn't send anything about ME with the DS-230 packet ... only stuff for Neetu because it required her information, not particularly mine ... so I didn't send any copies of anything having to do with me ... Did I screw up?

my brother case was enter into the system on may 22, he send on may 21 and his case was complete on may 28

for me my ds-230 and i-864 was enter into the system on may 27th but i got RFE for i-864 which i just send out today so let see when will my case will be complete

as someone says if ur case is not complete by june 9th, we get interview in AUG thats really SUCKS

Well, the AVR hasn't changed on our case yet. :hehe: I was really hoping it would have, because I too don't want to wait for an August interview date, but really I will take any "real" date they give to us. I will post what I hear first thing on Monday morning. I am in California so it won't be till around 6:30am. I will speak to a live operator though and get the complete story. Some good news - I wish I had gotten through on Friday to put my concerns to rest earlier but I called this morning and it's official - NVC entered our DS-230 in the system on 5/30/08!!! Hopefully it'll be completed within the next week or so and we'll have a real shot at a July interview date!

I've heard the magic words -- CASE COMPLETE!

I called this morning and talked to a lady who kinda confused me .. She was sweet but I didn't get what she was trying to say totally ... I was going to actually ask VJ'ers if they had ever had a conversation like this ...

I'll paraphrase:

Me: Hi, I just wanted to know if my case was completed.

Her: Yes it looks like it's complete

M: Really? That's great - that was fast!

H: Looks like there was an expedite.

M: An expedite? There's a notice of an expedite on it?

H: Oh, actually, I don't see an expedite request on here.

M: Oh, so is it complete?

H: I'm looking at it and it's actually not quite complete. It seems the documents have all been reviewed, but they will be reviewing them one more time.

M: Oh, ok so it's not done ...

H: Looks like it's almost done - please call us back in a couple of days and we should have good news for you.

M: Thanks!

THEN OF COURSE - I called back at about 6:30pm today ...

Explained to the guy I talked to that I was confused by the above conversation and wasn't sure if it was completed or what's going on.

He said "Don't worry about it - it's all done."

My reaction, "WHAT? It's complete."

Him, "Yes, they completed it for you today, June 3rd".

Then he told me to just wait for an interview date and asked that I call back in 1-2 weeks as they will schedule further interviews during the second week of June, and possibly I should have an interview for July!

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

What a day for you Rajee and Hyd !!! You both are in July interview since cut off is around 10th of each month :dance::dance::dance:

I think yours is the fastest NVC process :dance::dance::dance: So, our aggressive estimate is again 4 weeks :dance::dance::dance:

I think yours is the fastest NVC process :dance::dance::dance: So, our aggressive estimate is again 4 weeks :dance::dance::dance:

5/24/10 : I-751 Packet sent to VSC

5/26/10 : Delivered to SAINT ALBANS VT 05479 @ 11:46am

5/27/10 : NOA1 Date (based on scanned check image)

5/28/10 : Funds withdrawn from bank account

6/04/10 : NOA1 (I-797) received, confirming above NOA1 receipt date.

7/31/10 : Biometrics letter received - Appointment date of 8/11/10!

8/11/10 : Biometrics done!

8/29/10 : GC received (sometime last week lol)! (WOW!)

5/11 : PAID AOS Fee Online -- I-129F still pending; full speed ahead with I-130!

5/12 : Neetu emailed NVC re: DS-3032 (choice of agent)

5/13 : AOS Status now "PAID" -- AOS PRIORITY MAILED

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

5/29 : NVC received DS-230 at 11:01 am

5/30 : DS-230 entered into system

6/03 : CASE COMPLETE - 26 DAYS AFTER NVC RECEIVED I-130

6/10 : Interview scheduled (for 7/9 originally)

6/14 : Interview letter (my copy) received.

6/16 & 6/21 : Medical

7/16 : Interview completed - APPROVED!

7/21 : Neetu picked up passport/brown packet from VFS

7/25 : POE AT EWR!!!

End of Sept: GC received!

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-15-08 submitted passport to vfs

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail
