Panicking - Problem after the medical

Hi there,

I went to get the medical yesterday and got the results today. Everything went fine but when I realized about the problem I was already home. They misspelled my last name in the X-Ray and in the envelope. I called the medican center and the embassy in madrid and they said it shouldn't be an issue, but I didn't realize it's misspelled in the x-ray too (didn't open the envelope, it's see-through!)

Has anyone been through this? What can I do? My interview is in 13 days!!!! Will I be fine?

Thanks much,

-N

Never heard of any problems with regards to mispelled last name on the X-ray as so in my opinion, you'll be fine. But check out others response too.

You don't need to bring the X-rays to the interview, only the medical exam results that are on the sealed envelope. Is your name correct on the sealed envelope or is it miswritten there too?

Since you're indicating that your name is mispelled throughout, I'd go back to the hospital / panel physician and have it corrected. Better safe then sorry.

All the best for the rest of your journey!!

In every difficulty lies an island of opportunity.

You NEED to bring the x-ray to the interview, they will seal it and stamp it.

You DO NOT NEED to bring the x-ray to the interview, the CO will only ask for the sealed envelope with the results, not the x-ray itself. The CO is not a qualified nor trained to "read" the x-ray, he will only see the results that the Dr. wrote and that are inside the sealed envelope.

Someone will seal and stamp the x-ray at the interview? Maybe it's different in Spain, but I'm pretty sure the CO sealed and stamped the results not the x-ray.

The X-ray is usually on a bigger envelope different from the envelope with the medical results. In that case, THERE IS NO NEED to bring the X-ray to interview.

Iam sorry but you are wrong. In this embassy you have to take it, maybe in yours you dont have to, like in many others, but in this one you have to, and as I said, they seal it and stamp "do not open" on it.

Maybe in Guatemala they do it different, but I have no idea so I can´t say that iam pretty sure about something in that embassy because I wont be true. Maybe you can give good advice about that embassy, but saying that kind of thing you can confuse people going thru madrid, so dont tell people that they dont have to take it if you dont really know if they have to or not. I know that you wanted to help, as someone told me not to take it, and thanks God that I did because they had it in their check list and ask for it.

saludos
