I am preparing for my AOS interview June 17th - however as always I have some concerns.

My husband is currently unemployed - he has a job offer and we are awaiting the official paperwork ( we should get written confirmation before the interview) there is a chance that the job start date will be after the interview.

I have been able to assist with our expenses as I have an amount in UK savings account which i transfer to my UK bank account and extract money via ATM. My concern is that as my accounts are in my previous name - the relevant Bank and B/Society want to see the original marriage certificate before changingthe names and i am wary of sending it via post especially as i need it for the AOS so I have opted to leave it in previous name. I also have a daughter who still resides in UK and I like the idea of having funds in UK that can be transfer quickly in case she has any problems.

I do not drive and therefore have no joint car insurance ....

We do have a joint bank account and i have a debit card for that account. I have post that come to our address seperately and jointly - photo's of family occassions ....we are moving shortly and all the utility bills remain in my husbands name - does anyone have any experience relevant to these circumstances?...

Thanks

hi.

even before i got my license here in IL, my husband was able to include me in his car insurance.

during the AOS interview, as evidence for bonafide marriage, we brought the copy of car insurance, copy of our joint bank accounts, pictures (album to be exact), letters/cards addressed to both of us and affidavit from family and friends. that's it..
