My GC is valid until August 2008 and my passport will expire on February 2009. Do you think they will stamp my passport if it's not valid 1 year or more? I have no chance to renew my passport so fast because I just find out that I need to register my marriage in Romania in order to get a new passport so all the process will take at least 7-8 months. Also in order to renew my passport I need a valid GC…..

What about I-797 (NOA, stating that green card has been extended for 1 more year)? TSC is still sending this one or the only option is an appointment to get the stamp in passport?

Does anybody have a clue what should I do?

Most immigration policies require passports to be valid for 6 months or longer. If you have not been approved as your GC expiration draws near in August schedule an infopass and go have your passport stamped.
