I hope my friend doesn't read this

I was talking to one of my friends on the phone yesterday. Heres the convo :

Her : His interview is this week right ?

Me : Yeah, on Thursday. Or you can say Wednesday night our time

Her : So what does the interview mean ?

Me : (mind you I had gotten no sleep the night before and was not happy that I had to call my friend to check up on her, she never called me throughout this process) Well, what do you think it means ?

Her : Well it's when they tell him if he can come right ?

Me : Somewhat in a way, that's if he gets approved.

Her : What ?

Me : Well there's a possibility he will get more security checks or even denied (Adminstrative Processing she would have never understood).

Her : No way really ?

Me : You mean to tell me that you seriously had no idea that something bad could happen ?

Her : No I just thought they tell him when he can come to the US.

I seriously wanted to pull my hair out.

Ok another friend in college comes up to me and says " Massouna I just wanted to let you know that your husband is in my prayers when he goes to LA on Thursday"

I go "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat ?" and shes like "Yeah that interview thing you were talking about" I'm like "I would never have complained, cried, or went through all this drama if he were already here" Her "Oh he's not here ... dang that sucks"

People just don't understand anything about immigration ... like basic knowledge they dont even have.

Only one more day.... I am so very excited for you both and let the time keep ticking on by..............

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Most people don't know the first thing about immigration. They think it is so easy. Hand in there. You are hours away.
