Timeline

I am in the process of submitting the I 864 and the other documents but i have some questions regarding the police record and experation date of the bith certificate, i don't know if the police records are required or no and also can i still submit the same birth certificate of my wife that was issued in december 2007 ? or do i have to get a new one ?

In your post you say you are submitting the I-864 (Affidacit of support) If so, then the police cert & brith certificates are not needed for this submission. Those documents would be a part of your DS-230 (Visa Applicaton) submission.

This is what I sent for my I-864 and it sailed through with out any problems:

Coversheet w/barcode

I-864 Form

Tax Returns (last 3 years...if you filed for 2007, you must inckude that)

Employment Letter (Stating position, salary, tenure, and standing)

Pay Stbs (Last 3 pay periods)

2008 04 21 : NVC received & case# generated

2008 05 12 : I-864 Package entered into system by NVC

2008 05 13 : DS 3032 Accepted (Spouse - Received e-mail confirmation)

2008 05 23 : DS 230 Entered into system by NVC

2008 06 02 : Case Complete

2008 06 12 : Case Forwarded (Embassy - Lima, Peru)

2008 06 20 : Appt Letter received

EMBASSY - LIMA

2008 06 26 : Medical Exam - 9 AM (Picked up results 07/01)

2008 07 03 : Interview - 10 AM (DENIED - RENIEC ENDOREMENT MISSING)

2008 07 07 : Submit RENIEC Endoresed Marriage Cert.

2008 07 10 : Passport & Visa (Pick-up at DHL Facility - Lima)

POE

2008 07 15 : San Francisco (midnight)

2008 08 19 : SSC Received (Had to re-file at SSA Office)

2008 08 04 : I-551 Received

2008 08 26 : Permanent Employment (HR Asst. Int'l Firm)
