That is the nice thing about being 'liberal' you can keep an open mind and learn from your critics.

...and perhaps even *gasp* admit that you were not right.

Yeah, but when a rep does it the left calls it flip flopping. What else would you expect from a liberal?

I'm sorry, I seem to recognize what you describe as the Republican strategy used against Kerry in 2004. And yes, it is quite likely that what went around will come around. After all, you reap what you sow. ;)

And I reconize the hypocricy of your side. This election will be fun to watch. Prepare to have you messiha brought down to earth.

What hypocrisy? There's no hypocrisy in beating the other side with their own weapons. They deployed them so they must feel that it's fair game. Nothing wrong with playing a fair game, is there? There's also no messiah on my side. Just a progressive candidate promoting a positive message of hope vs. an old man running on a tired message of fear. I think the former will triumph over the latter. I know that you don't. We'll see.

Hypocrisy is all I see from you. You downplay your messiahs problems and slam McCain for the same thing. And your messiah as a "progressive candidate promoting a message of hope"? What a load of BS. He has no message other than the one he has fooled you with. "Hope"? What "hope"? "Hope" for what??? All talk and no substance whatsoever. Your messiah will get his head handed to him unless he starts talking substance and forgets the koolaid. Only the hard left is buying that.

I am wondering why every one has forgotten already about how clinton and obama have turned the democratic race, the liberal side, into a racest battle between themselves early in the running. Correct me if i am wrong but aren't the dems suppose to be totally against racism and what not. That alone makes me see the down fall of liberals when they both became racist and sexist in their pursuit to the capitol

How are the campaigns racist and sexist? That surely deserves some clarification - no?

That hard left is quite large as it seems.

Projected Electoral Votes

Barack Obama: 293

John McCain: 245

Projected Popular Vote:

Barack Obama: 51.18%

John McCain: 47.82%

Maybe from the far right, you consider anything moderate and left of that the hard left. And drop that koolaid nonsense already. Shows a weakness in your argument. Remember, that was camp Hillary's line and see where it got them. ;)

Seriously - what is "hard left" in an American context anyway?

Pretty much any candidate that the Democratic party fields apparently... given than even Hillary has been tagged with a hammer and sickle in comedy pictures on the internet; and indeed every Democratic candidate is the "most liberal ever".

Its nuts

God its gonna hurt Gary a LOT when the electorate follows through with its total shun of everything the Republicans have done over the last two terms. Everything and everything to do nothing.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Still hanging on the polls I see. I can post a Rassumussen poll that shows McCain leading Obama by 4 points from yesterday. Obama is still running on his charisma. That isn't going to last long. Once the koolaid wears off everyone but the hard left base will see he isn't the messiah and turn away. Obama is a false prophet. The will see him for what he really is, Carter 2.0

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Thursday, May 29, 2008

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that John McCain attracting 47% of the vote nationwide while Barack Obama earns 42%. McCain has been “ahead” by at least two percentage points on five of the last six days (see recent daily results). Tracking Poll results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. Occasionally, over the past few months, one candidate or the other has opened what appears to be a modest lead for several days. But, to this point in time, neither has been able to hold a sustained lead.

McCain leads 58% to 33% among Evangelical Christians and by six points among other Protestant voters. Consistent with results from many recent state polls, McCain does better among those who attend Church or other religious services on a regular basis. Obama is stronger among those who rarely or never attend services (see other recent demographic notes).

McCain is viewed favorably by 52% of voters nationwide and unfavorably by 45%. Obama’s numbers are 48% favorable and 49% unfavorable (see recent daily ratings). Voters see McCain as the candidate most likely to reach across party lines and work effectively with both Republicans and Democrats.

A commentary by Dr. Alan I. Abramowitz looks at the fundamentals of Election 2008 using an Electoral Barometer. His forecast? A victory by John McCain would be “an upset of unprecedented magnitude.” Rhodes Cook looks at the Outsized Role of Caucuses in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Joe Conason looks at the troubled Democratic nominating process and concludes “there is plenty of blame to be shared among all the participants, from Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and their surrogates to Howard Dean and the party apparatus in Washington.”

New polling released today shows that John McCain is doing fine in Alabama. Senator Jeff Sessions is leading handily in that state as well. At noon Eastern today, new data will be released for Mississippi, a state with two U.S. Senate races this fall. A column by ####### Morris anticipates a possible “GOP Senate Massacre” in November.

As I said, Gary, we will see. Obama was very well received here in FL last week. Record crowds on short notice w/o him even having a support network in this state in place yet. His numbers surged to close in on McCain just ahead of his visit. Let Hillary come to her senses and drop out (which she will soon enough), give the party a chance to get beyond the primary season and then we'll take a look at polling data. My prediction is that your boy is going to slip. And he's going to slip badly.

Yes Dog, we will see. The more your boy (no racism intended BTW) talks the more he puts both feet in his mouth up to his knees. Get him away from his cue cards and his eloquence falls away. Sure he can attract a crowd. It's part of his messiah persona. But when the substance, what little of it there is, of his platform becomes apparent the less people like him. His positive numbers have been going down for weeks now. Poll after poll show his trustworthiness falling like a brick. His trend is downward and that will accelerate as time goes on.
