So on the drive in this morning... I'm stopped and waiting at an at-grade rail crossing. The train passes, the red blinking lights turn off and the gates started opening back up, so I started driving. Within less than a second, the lights turned right back and the gates started coming down again! And I was on the tracks, so I sped up and almost hit the gate on the other side while it was coming down.

What a piece of #######. If there's a second train coming right after it, why open it at all?!?!?

i have ahd that happen and been caught for a few moments in-between....not a good feeling

Unless it's a slow moving freight train, then instead of dying I'll just get pushed all the way to the fukcing seaport.

But if it's a pax train, damn. It's over.

i am with you..i do not think it is an easy way to die ...as sometimes, you get mangled cause the train just smashes your vehicle and shaves off parts of your body////
