no, we need to create FORTY FIVE threads!

I think they are doing it to punish us for complaining :P:lol:

Well we already know the maturity level on VJ is a little lacking sometimes.

you know how paleness is valued in India.

Yeah all the desi girls will want him if he stays pale, watch. With a name like Kavi and the looks of a white boy... they will be all over him

What do you mean with a name like Kavi? I know it means poet, but is there another reason I should know about?

It's an Indian name, and 'Kavi' is considered kinda romantic too. So a romantic sounding Indian name on a white-ish guy. The desi girls will love it. I knew a Kavi in college, he was let's say very popular.

If you want him to have fun as a teenager, move to Jersey ;)

hehe...we won't be moving to Jersey then. Well the only way I can see him being around many desi girls is if he meets them at college or something. But he might have an identity crisis and not relate at all to the desis. lol I wonder. Like I have said, we aren't really around Indians usually.

The first drilling thread is about offshore drilling in Cuba - who's doing it, who's not.

The second one is specific to the US and whether we can drill our way out of the energy crisis.

They are two separate subjects.

 right...

I got the money for my alternator and the core charge back after they were being dicks about it and didn't want to give it back.

Note to self: Never, ever again buy alternators from AutoZone. Never. Never ever.

Hopefully the one the mechanic put in today works. It still hasn't passed the 35 mile test (as long as my car seems to run on battery), so we will see.

Have to add buttermilk, since my personal Mr. President insists ;)

I also don't understand why they are called biscuits - biscuits are cookies. Yummy biccies!! Also, the American biscuits kind of look like scones, but they are not. All very confusing

So what exactly is shortening again? Can I just use marge instead?

Outside is packed with soccer idiots, getting ready to watch the game in the public viewing area downtown. It's 15 degrees and it's raining cats and dogs. I can see them standing in the rain downstairs from my cosy office hahahahaha fools

do you have that flora stuff they have in england there in germany?

Julie understands me. :luv: And I'm with you on the shortening!

And what is it with these funny 'cup' measurements? :P

Yeah, was wondering about the cup measures too. Can I just use any cup? Or is cup a defined measure?

Maybe I should just make scones  or crumpets....oh how I love crumpets!!!

Lard...hmmm...that is pig's grease, is that right? Oink!

1 cup = 8oz = 1/2 pint = 225mL (roughly)

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Ohhh I just had meatloaf from the canteen for lunch - it was so so so good. It was also stuffed with chunks of cheese and that made it even better. My stomach did not appreciate the msg, but I certainly did!

I have such a beautiful day at the office. I love this job and my boss (and the pay)! (L)
