That second her boyfriend loses it completely. He hit the dashboard with his left fist about ten times, so hard that I thought it was going to come off. He yells at her, gets out of the car and tells her to get off the driving seat and starts driving himself. Keep in mind, this guy has his right arm in a cast, just had a couple glasses wine and then also mentions that he forgot to bring his glasses. And then he starts driving, 180km/ph on a road across a town and 220km/ph on the highway. With one arm! Buzzed! Without glasses!!! She was crying all the time and after a while he stopped yelling at her at least.

I was so scared of him, his driving and the situation. If we had not been in the middle of nowhere, I would have gotten out and taken a taxi.

Oh! Maybe she's hooked up with my Xh? :) We had a lot of these incidences. Of course everyone was mystified, though, when we divorced, and everyone blamed me because he was just such an angel. I did a good job of keeping these kinds of "events" quiet. I had a similar dashboard moment, although the "trigger" was not hitting anything at all, it was that I didn't take the appropriate turn he wanted me to take, and was also 5 minutes late picking him up.

So I have been trying to embrace the Scottish whilst I have been here. And whilst I have had haggis pizza before today I tried the whole kit and caboodle.

Hall’s of Broxburn haggis with neeps, mashed tatties & whisky sauce ( translate neeps = mashed turnip, tatties = potatoes)

And it was smashing. :D Though I really feel the need for a nap in a recliner under a blanket.
