This little girl that hugs me everyday decided that she wants to hug me forever. She came and hugged me for 10 min, it took me forever to convince her to let me go. How do I do that being nice?

Because of the four airport threads just posted by the same person, I just noticed that when I left the US the last time, I didn't get an outstamp and they didn't tear out the green waiver bit.

I flew from Savannah to DC - in Savannah they only looked at my passport briefly, just to check if it was the same name as on the boarding pass. In DC I arrived in Terminal C and my departure to Frankfurt was from there too, so my passport did not get checked again.

Do you think that's going to cause a problem when I re-enter the US next time?

I am tired and got an iffy stomach...I went to a party last night and there was an ugly incident...I'll write more about it later, have to go and do some work now!!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

I don't think there's a problem since they scan the passport on your way in or out anyway..

Yeah the I-94. They left the bit with my name and address in my passport. Usually they tear it out and give me an outstamp, this time they didn't.

You can just send it back, it's all okay.

Here's a link with the instructions and the address.

although it says:

If you departed by a commercial air or sea carrier (airlines or cruise ships), your departure from the U.S. can be independently verified, and it is not necessary to take any further action, although holding on to your outbound (from the U.S.) boarding pass - if you still have it - can help expedite your re-entry next time you come back to the United States.

so I don't think you need to send it to London, KY... lolol..

True.

Personally I did not want to make it harder for myself than I needed to? So I sent mine back cause I didn't want to risk it or wait around when I came back.

I figure it can be hard enough as it is.

Thanks guys! I got rid of the boarding pass, but got a letter by United apologising for the delay plus the flight appears on my milage account statement.

They didn't even scan my passport on the way out...they might have at the check in, but not when I went through security. I think I won't sent it to KY, because knowing how slow they are, it won't be processed in 6 weeks when I am flying to Charlotte again.

I wish I knew less about immigration, then I would not have to worry about stupid sh!t like that!

The other thing is to have the I-94 and the other proof with you when you re-enter, but don't show it unless they question you or ask for it.

I swear it is often best to volunteer nothing.

Yeah, I agree. The I-94 is still stapled in my passport, I am sure they are going to ask. I will just take my mileage statement with me.

So this horrible thing happened yesterday. My colleague, Yvonne, who is also a good friend of mine and her boyfriend and I were invited to our other colleagues birthday party last night. Our colleague lives an hour away from Frankfurt on the countryside, so we had to take the car.

My friend drove her boyfriend's car (Audi A6 stationwagon) , because he can't drive because he just recently fractured his right arm and wears a cast from the hand all the way up to the shoulder. On the way there it was only the three of us and they were argueing a little about her driving skills. He constantly knew better and told her how to drive and she told him to stop it. Classic couple driving situation, I thought.

It was late and dark outside on the way back and we gave another guy a lift, who we had met at the party and who is a colleague of our other colleagues wife. We had driven for about 5 minutes (we are in the middle of nowhere) and arrived at a crossing. She had missed the signs and didn't know where to go, so the other guy asks her to back up a little so we could see the sign. She does and suddenly she scratches the entire back of the car along the guard rail.

That second her boyfriend loses it completely. He hit the dashboard with his left fist about ten times, so hard that I thought it was going to come off. He yells at her, gets out of the car and tells her to get off the driving seat and starts driving himself. Keep in mind, this guy has his right arm in a cast, just had a couple glasses wine and then also mentions that he forgot to bring his glasses. And then he starts driving, 180km/ph on a road across a town and 220km/ph on the highway. With one arm! Buzzed! Without glasses!!! She was crying all the time and after a while he stopped yelling at her at least.

I was so scared of him, his driving and the situation. If we had not been in the middle of nowhere, I would have gotten out and taken a taxi.

She is at work today, she is still crying and looks like she cried all night long. She hasn't said a word to me about last night and I don't want to say anything. She's not going to like what I have to say - it will be - "Kick that ####### out and don't look back." But she won't. She'll find excuses. It's always like that with them.
