I know they didn't even call any of my references because then they would have found out what a great person I am :P they are missing out ...

they just seemed more concerned with having local references...

sorry to hear that Marilyn.

Booty, meetings do suck. It's one of the things that I enjoy about being a nobody here, I don't have to go to endless anoying meeting like I used to in Brazil.

Marilyn-:( sorry!!! I am sure you will find something better.

-----

Get ready for more complaining...

Today they have actually started the grouting under our house. I didn't feel nervous about it, until NOW!! We were told we didn't have to be home while it was getting done, and we thought it would be started while we were away, but they didn't. So now they show up today, and the engineer knocks on the door and says on some days he may need to come inside frequently, and asked if someone will always be home. I said I don't work and I am home a lot but I might not always be home. He said oh. I said yeah like I need to go to the store sometimes. He said, ok well how long do you usually go for? I said, I don't know, an hour? He said that's fine.

 I said well if you knock frequently I might not always be able to answer right away since I have a baby. I also called our public adjuster who represents us, and she said if I need to go out just do it and forget about what he says, he can check it when I am home and don't worry about it.

Then the engineer says, "if you hear any pops while we are grouting, tell us IMMEDIATELY. The pumping may lift the soil and cause movement. And if anything gets more damaged, we need to know ASAP." Oh yay! I feel really irritated right now, sorry, add me to the grumpy bunch today. Yeah this grouting could go on for a week or more. They are pumping somewhere around 200 cubic yards of the stuff underground. Their loud truck was here to wake me up at 6:55, after getting up at 2am to feed Kavi.

They have an estimate of how much grout to pump, but they have to continue until the void is filled...someone I knew said they put in double what the estimate was. So that adds days.
