Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Thanks for the tip about the airlines! I don't know about the multiple stops though. It seems it would feel like forever before you finally got to India. I would hope that since flights leaving NY (which would prob be our POE) leave at night, Kavi would go into sleep mode for the first major part of the flight. And Sujeet said it was 99% Indian people on that flight. It was on Continental. Well, b/c it was the best deal. If we did need to stop, one of our brother in laws--his job(power co. of India or something) gave him the option to live in Dubai for 2 years and it'd be cool to stop there if we had to stop. He already went there and my sis in law and 2 nieces are soon to follow.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

They say Dubai rocks. The living is good and the money is better.

If I ever emigrate from the US, it'll be to the ME.

Dubai is a great airport for connecting flights. The only thing that sucks, is that you have to get on a bus to get to the terminal. No arrival at the gate directly.

Shopping is fab also.

I've watched programs about Dubai, about the things they have built. So extravagant that it kind of freaks me out. Like the islands they built. I just see a tsunami ruining them so I'd be scared to live on those. And the plans for the buildings that shift shapes! Woah. :o I know I may sound like a dork but seriously it blows my mind. lol

I had to go on buses at Paris CDG too.

What are the prices like for an American? Expensive or not? Seems it would be expensive.

once upon a time poor european people on the continent, while hunting for those non existent potatoes, used to hear tales of america... and it used to blow their minds!

the fact that tales of dubai blows our minds speaks volumes.

Julie-Sorry, I meant shopping in Dubai :)

No worries :D

I know you don't smoke and neither do I, but I bought a carton of Marlboro for a friend and it was $12 (US). The dirham exchange rate is good, even for Americans.

Hehe, I don't know how much cartons usually are. But it's nice to hear the exchange rate is good!
