mmmm ketchup on eggs... yum...

when I was a kid I ate ketchup on almost anything

now I only eat it on mac and cheese sometimes, eggs, hot dogs, hamburgers, meatloaf sandwiches, sometimes I dip grilled cheese into ketchup, sometimes on my mashed potaotes, and of course french fries...

ketchup with pizza (and tabasco sauce)

ketchup with pasta (also with tabasco sauce!)

no ketchup on beans

For any Canucks (or anyone else) familiar with Poutine...my hubby eats his with (blech) ketchup. I'm on the search for a homemade ketchup recipe...for us personally, we don't like the ones on the market here and dang it, shipping stuff from Canada is expensive.

Indigestion to me is eating at the "Grease Trucks" at Rutgers.

I feel sorry for my sister because indigestion to her is eating anything. She doesn't have anything stopping the acid from her stomach coming up into her esophagus. She uses this stuff that I saw at Wal-Mart about a month ago and thinks it works better than anything else.\

I can't remember what the hell it's called. I just tried looking for it online, but no luck. It comes in 3 different flavors: strawberry cream, orange cream and chocolate cream. It's a cream type stuff ina tube and has the consistency of yogurt. I'll figure out the name of it.

She's not doing any better since her surgery? I hate to hear that. I have acid reflux and it's awful to deal with. I couldn't imagine everything I ate bothering me.

She's doing better because she can eat BUT she didn't have enough stomach to put a flap over her esophagus. My understand is that the acid can just come back up because her esophagus is just open into the stomach since the muscles are relaxed. I know she can't sleep laying completely flat anymore because stuff will come up into her esophagus.

Gosh that's terrible. I was hoping the surgery would help her out more than that. Is there the possibility of fixing that in the future or is she always going to have this problem?

She will always have it. She might have to have the surgery again in 1yr, 5yrs, 20yrs, never again. They just don't know! Also, she's so young they really have no clue because normally it happens between the ages of 25-40. It's so rare we really just have to wing it.

Well I hope it all works out for her. I know how it is to not be able to eat or anything although mine wasn't as bad as hers. When Javi was in MX waiting for his waiver to be decided I couldn't eat. I took Nexium twice a day and some other chalky stuff and still couldn't eat because of my acid reflux. I really feel for her. I couldn't imagine being that way all the time.

oh yeah, grilled cheese with ketchup was a must when I was a child. But I would never put on food like pasta, rice, beans, eggs, it's just wrong.

I am not really fond of ketchup here in the US... the ketchup in Canada was a little sweeter and not so vinegary as it is down here...
