No it won't be like the swamp family from Waterboy. No I don't eat squirrels. Some of the good old boys around here might but I don't. Contrary to what Charles and Pedro want to make it out to be, we're actually normal around here. Well most of us anyway. I can safely say you could take me and drop me in the middle of New York City and no one would ever know I was from the mtns of NC, that is, until I opened my mouth.

I bet you'd have a hard time finding a single Noo Yawker who knew what an NC mountain accent sounds like. The best they could do is say you're from "the south" (by which, of course, they mean anything south of Philadelphia).

I do have quite the accent though. It's so bad that when I go other places not around here they ask me to repeat things just so they can hear me talk. I once had to order meals for the entire table because the waiter wanted to hear me talk.

Hello everyone,

Just thought we say hi from Brazil - Salvador to be exact. Val just went to get her hair and nails done at her sister's salon. In the states, it seems they never do it right for her and is much less expensive here. Anyway, I am hanging out at another of Val's sisters house. We are here only for two weeks and I know that for Val it will be hard for her to leave. We are like 5 minutes away from the beach and it has been nice. A lot different than dusty, hot and dry New Mexico.

hey long time no see. good to hear from you again. how is salvador this time of year?

ok I just went dumpster diving.. well i didn't actually go in the dumpster.. I was taking out the garbage when i noticed some boxes sitting by the garbage bin.. on closer inspection I found out that they were full of Christmas decorations.. blue and sliver glass balls... I hemmed and hawed for awhile and then I snatched them up and brought them home

marilyn has blue balls.........
