hi!

i've got two questions here about the ds 156 form.

i'm close to get my p3, but don't have it yet.

However, i did fill in electronically the ds 156 form submitted it and printed it out.

here is my questions:

1. what date should i put on the form: when i submitted it, or the date when i'm GOING TO THE EMBASSY

2. Is it ok if i did it without receiving the p3 from yhe embassy yet?

1) The date you filled it out. Note the online form collects no data, all it does is use the info entered to generate the special barcode on page 3.

2) Yes it is fine.

Hello there,

Go online and fill up the DS156, use the current date you are filling it. Print it twice as you need 2 copies of that. Also you need to do same thing with DS156K. I did my papers the same way. Also you need DS157 form, you can download it online. You have the option though to either fillup the DS157 online or do the handwriting to fit all the information you will be providing. However, print just one copy of DS157 form and pay bank to get your another (second copy) of validated DS157. Use the current date and you are done.
