NOA2 approval today!

As I was chatting with Svetlana online today, I received e-mail from USCIS that NOA2 approval has been sent.

But there is one potential complication.

She will be spending July in the Ukraine (where her mom lives). Is there a decent chance she will receive Packet 3 by the end of June? Would hate for us to lose four weeks if the package arrives after she leaves.

Congrats!!!!

I say there is a good chance of her getting package 3 in less than 4 weeks.

You might want to look at timelines of people that are applying for the visa at the same consulate.

Good luck!

Congratulations to you both!!!!

Anastasiya's right. When the Moscow Embassy gets her file, they'll schedule the interview and send out the invitation. From what I've been able to gather from watching the others ahead of us, you can figure on the interview being scheduled 2.5 to 3 months after the NOA2 (depends how long it takes to get through the NVC).

That's interesting. Thanks for all the kind words.

So does this mean Svetlana does not have to send anything to the Embassy before the interview? She just needs to have whatever documents they require (plus medical)? That would seem to make things a little easier . . . and eliminate the problem of Packets 3 and/or 4 arriving when she is out of the country.
