Depending on the service center, it could be a while. We have people on the Jamaican forums who filed back in October of 2007. One person got NOA2 in May;but no interview yet. One person has not gotten NOA2 yet.

I believe they are both Vermont.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

Thank you all for being so friendly and welcoming. I have gone through one backlog when my citizenship took 2 and a half years. I have already begun writing letters. I just cannot go through this again. I think if we all join together and start writing letters of concern it can make a difference.

September, October and November 2007 seem to be hit and miss with Vermont. Writing letters will unlikely produce any forward movement. You need an extenuating circumstance or they'll just blow you off. And since they claim to be working on July 2007 at this time, they'll tell you that you are within the normal timeline and you'll just have to wait.

Sorry I don't have any good news for you.

I'm presuming you have an NOA1 date of December/January .... this is the important date.

Vermont are processing albeit slow .... but hopefully you'll get your NOA2 soon as they are processing those with December/January NOA1's.

Hopefully they'll speed up soon as the gap between CSC and VSC is getting larger by the week.

Currently we're seeing VSC approving about 2 non-expedited cases every couple of weeks on this site and that's quite painful.

There are a couple of cases which date back to July as an application date, but there are not many of those. The bulk of December NOA1's appear to be done, so it's just a case of waiting, unless you fall under the expedite critera.

Question. I heard someone talk about the RFE trick when wanting to speak to an immigration officer, do you know what that is.

That 02/23/2008 is something that will haunt our days forever on here for those who are VSC.

When you click on your case you'll see the date that they have given you as a NOA1 date .... it's below the 'case received and pending' statement .... it should also be on the NOA1 letter you received ....'Notice Date'.

Oh, I've just noticed that you have it .... your receipt notice date : January 23rd.

You have a January NOA1 date .... they are working on those .... slowly, but they are working on them

This date is different to your filing date.

I think someone has posted the information for the RFE trick for you.

Goodluck on your case .... and I pray everyone gets out of USCIS soon
