Touched?

Sorry but how do you know when you've been touched? Our I-130 has been in the system since Feb. Received first notice 03/10 and we've been checking nearly every day now and there doesn't seem to be much action on the online tracking of our case. Can someone clarify what being touched (as it pertains to visas) means, and how you know when you have been "touched." I see a lot of posters with signatures that say NOA1, NOA2 and Touched and I know that NOA stands for Notice of Approval. Any other terms that I might need to know?

Oh and finally, how long is does it typically take after NOA2 until you get to visit the embassy and pick up your visa? I'm missing my wife and we can't afford to have her fly up every month to visit me in Canada.

If you see changes in the status of your case in the USCIS WEBSITE then that means your case have been touched. Yes, you will see touches in the timelines of others but some people got approved without even getting any single touch at all like this case.. So, no need to worry .

I think I've read it's not a good thing to get "touched" too much. but nobody really knows if that's true.

rare case where too much touching isn't good
