We filed on June 23 and just last week our case was transferred to California. We called USCIS today and were informed that our EAD would not be available for 6 months from that date and our greencard a year. However, I see all of you having both already and our case seems so far behind. Any thoughts?? (positive ones would be great! :)

Easy, the people on the phonelines can be somewhat clueless. Don't pay attention to what they say. Look at the timelines at NBC and see we're they're at, if you don't get your EAD at the end of this month schedule an Infopass appointment.

02/20/2008 - wedding

06/09/2008 - finally sent package!

06/11/2008 - package received

06/19/2008 - NOA received - I-485, I-130, I-765

06/23/2008 - I-765 correction sent

06/25/2008 - I-765 correction received

06/30/2008 - NOA received, biometrics scheduled

07/11/2008 - I-485, I-765 touched

07/15/2008 - Biometrics

09/14/2008 - 90 days since NOA, no news about my EAD.

09/15/2008 - Called USCIS, no holds on my case, they made an inquiry on my EAD.

09/20/2008 - Got a letter saying they are working on my I-765 actively and there's nothing they could do, I have to wait for 6 more months till I'm "out of the" timeline again GRRRRRRRRRRR

09/25/2008 - Infopass appt.

GOOD NEWS!

Received the notice of our interview today! Its scheduled for the 3rd week of October. Not so great news - its less than a week before our 2nd year anniversary, so i'm HOPING HOPING HOPING that the approval date on the GC is after our 2nd anniversary so we can avoid the 751. Just posted a thread asking for info on that issue if anyone who went through the Interview process has feedback.

I've had no touches on the 130 since filing, none on 485 since after biometrics. Also, no email to let me know the notice was coming. But needless to say it was a nice surprise!

Received the notice of our interview today! Its scheduled for the 3rd week of October. Nada for me either... my last touch was on the same day as yours visao. Actually our timeline is a lot similar... makes me wonder "What the heck did they do touching our AOS on the 22nd and not taking any action afterwards??

ACTION please!

- Don't want to complain too much though, because at least I got the EAD.

Be thankful you got your EAD. Those of us that filed in early June, still have seen NO action on our case whatsoever. You can at least work, where those of us who ahve not even recieved our EAD yet, are still stuck at home, relying on one income to support the family.

Sorry, don't take this as an attack, I am just really frustrated that USCIS says they process the cases in the order they recieve them, but from june 15th on they all have there EAD cards. Those of us that have filed in the begining of june, still have had no touches, no action, no nothing on our cases!!!!

They received my wife's case June 10. We received an RFE and returned the information they requested in less than a week. They noted they had received the RFE information at the National Benefits Center in July. And, since then, we've received nothing. No EAD. No AP. It's like they are punishing us for doing this legally.

Well then I know something is ROTTEN in DENMARK!!!!! Because I filed on June 4th, and still ahve not recieved my cards, nor ANY action (touches, etc) on my case. I am marching down to the office today, to see what the heck is going on!!!!!!!!

May 29th 2008- AOS/EAD/I-130 Sent to Chicaogo Lock Box sent via Overnight Delivery

June 6th - Both checks cashed!!

June 25th - Biometrics appointment

Sept. 19th - Card Production Ordered! (113 days since filing)

Sept. 25th - EAD Received!!!

Dec. 5th 2008 - Received appointment letter

Feb. 4th 2009 - AOS Interview (Interviewer says going to recommend for approval)

May 15th- called and talked to an officer to submit a service request

June 10th- Made an infopass appointment,

June 15th- Info pass appointment, told me they could do nothing until the officer made their decision!

June 27 - Filed for I-131 as well as renewal of my work authorization.

July 23rd- Received I-131

Dec 22, 2009 - Biometrics appointment yet again.

January 21, 2010 Second interview

January 22nd - I-485 Touched

January 27th - Received a Request for additonal evidence.

May 27 I-485 Approved

June 13th 2010 - Green card received!
