AOS june 2008 filer

Just checked the mail and found my EAD!!! No update on CRIS or by email, just a nice surprise in the mailbox!!!

Hi!! june filers....i just got my schedule for interview on october 22. i also had approved AP and EAD. I was surprised to received a letter from USCIS coz i did not have any touch in the online status. But i was so happy to received the notice. I am now preparing my papers for the interview.

I just hope and pray that everything would be good in my interview.

hi jean, when did you file your AOS? I came on K3 as well and so far there is no update from USCIS since my biometrics last July 26, 2008.

hi jean and raquel ,, i m on a k3 too i got my first noa dated 20 june ,, and had my biometrics on 15th july that was the last touch till now ,,, i think all i have to expect now is an interview letter like u jean , but i would love to know your time line so i can estimate when i m gonnahave my interviw scheduled ,,,,thank god i found now 2 people who r on k3 visa like me , i hope we keep in touch so we can know our news on our cases ,, good luck to everyone

thank u for your timelines i see that u had your biometrics a few days before me , so hopefuly i will get my interviw letter next week,,i had my biometrics on july 15 , but i already got my ead on december i filed for it september 2007 , i did not fil for aos cause we had to get the money togther so i filed only for ead andf i payed about 390 dollars for it ,, now that payed the 1010 dollars for the aos in june this aos is costing me 1349 dollars ,, but at least i have been working since december ,, i never filed for AP cause k3 visas dont need it ,, k3 visa is a 2 years visa and it allows u to travel outside the us and come back without advanced parrol required . by september 11 my marriage is is gonna reach its 2 nd anniverssary so maybe i will get the 10 years green card and never deal with the uscis again t ,,,anayway this is a conclusion of my aos journey ,, i hope your interviw is gonna be succeful ,, and i pretty sure it will be ,, as everybody know its just a quetion of waiting THATS IT ,,,

Got my EAD card in the mail today. Last week I got my AP Papers. No notice of EAD approval from the website nor e-mail update. Last touched was Aug 22, yet I got my card today.

I wonder...does the local office approve the EAD? Kind of confused about that as it shows up on the Processing timelines at each local office... I though they do not get your case until it gets transf over there...hmmm..does anyone know that?

No, I don't believe the local office approves the EAD or AP. They just may work ony our AOS or it could get transferred to CSC....

I believe they have something to do with the process myself. The reason being my local office (Phoenix) is one of the busiest in the country.

I've been waiting since May for my EAD and have had no touches since May either. The Phoenix office isn't even letting anyone make Info Pass appointments for EAD's becasue they are just too busy with other stuff.

Finally received my husbands EAD card today... his card says its good for a year..dont they expire after 90 days? I need to re-read that info, I guess..I expected it to say it was only good til November.. hmmm

No, all EADs are good for a year. It's the temp stamp some people get at POE that is only valid for 90 days. So you are all good to go.
