Really bad news First of all USCIS lost my EAD then I resubmitted it last week....Checked the mail yesterday got a notification saying that my application for my EAD was REJECTED: Reason Outdated form. Darm....I resubmitted the form today again...now the waiting game continues again... Hopefully I get no more issues with this...

Good luck to all you other guys.

Wow, that sucks! But listen you could pray for your AOS to go thru soon that way the EAD and AP don't really matter. So don't worry, keep your head up and remember that God is bigger than all these things!

When you login to your USCIS account, there is a column to the immediate right of your portfolio list that says "E-mail" and under that will be Y's for Yes or I imagine N's for No. To turn on email notification, click the little box to the left of your case number and click the box near the bottom right that says "E-mail On" & then you will be signed up to receive email updates. :yes:

With all this Transfer situation I have noticed that most if not all of the Transfers are CSC (CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER) , Maybe the timeliness for people not in California are different.

Personally we are from Texas , Has anyone from Texas had their case transfered?

Hello!

Today I received a notice that my I-485 application was transferred to California Service Center.

Does this mean I will not be scheduled for interview? No more documents to be submitted? Is it a go for my green card?

On July 23 I had my Biometrics, the lady said I will receive my EAD in 30 days.

Another question: When and how can I officially use my married name? When I applied for SSN, I brought my marriage contract, but the officer said I could not use my married name yet because Homeland Security record is based on my name in the passport, hence, he could not change my name yet in SSN. When I applied for adjustment of status, I use the name in my passport also. Most likely, when I get my green card it would be in my maiden name, too.

Can my husband claim me as dependent on his tax payment next April even if I haven't change my name?

Will appreciate any input.

We are located in Chicago and early June filer (June, 6th) and we were notified both by post and email that our case was transferred out to CSC from the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER on July 24th. Then i received another email yesterday that our I485 "was transferred and is now pending standard processing" at CSC. According to the timelines it seems we were a little late getting transferred compared to others. A lot of people seem to be transferred within the first month or 6 weeks. I would have to say that the USCIS email system for us anyway has been working much better with AOS than when we did our I129 last year. Our fiance visa still says case pending!

What does being in California have anything to do with whether or not a case gets transferred to the California Service Center? I am from New Jersey and my case got transferred there. This California Service Center is the place they send applications most likely not needing an interview in order to approve case. It has nothing to do with where you live. Now if your case gets transferred to your local USCIS center then that means you mostlikely will be requested to show for an interview befor eyour case is approved.

If i am wrong someone correct me; I think that all cases that transfer to CSC, will be process smoothly for those who doesn't live in California. because they will get the green card without interview. keep in mind that i heard they pick randomly people for interview, they might process you case in California, but call you for the interview in your local office.
