Hello ... how's everyone been doing?

Robyn-n-Kris I believe that you should call USCIS...go ahead and check the timeline for your service center just to make sure that you are out of their time frame and then place a service call to check on it. ChrisB0707 I believe you should do the same. I for one would do it...

Good luck!

I am on the same boat with ChrisB0707,I tried to call USCIS and spoke to a lady she said i cant place a service call on my case she said all I can do is wait, my case is transferred to california she said they are only processing I-485 based on employment that made me confused, my question is how would I place a service call?

As I said in my previous post, you have to check the timeline for the service center your case is at this moment...so if it was transf to CA, check the timeline for CA service center and if your case is out of that timeline, call again and ask to place a service request on your case!

GOOD LUCK!

The letter we received said our case was with the National Benefits Center and to check there for processing times but the NBC doesnt have processing times for AOS. When I check the CSC is only has processing times for employment AOS. When you call the CC line they give you a bunch of BS. ShaSha had her BIO appointment in July and we have not had any changes since. Is anyone else having the same issues or anyone also from Las Vegas with updates would be great also. Goodluck everyone

Yeah, mine also said it's at the national benefits center...so I called USCIS and asked where it really was, after two phone calls and some prying, I got them to tell me it was transferred to my hometown--Portland. They probably did the same thing for you--transferred it to your hometown--or the closest town on the list (they asked for my ZIP code). As you can see...they don't do a very good job of updating their processing times and case status on the website...so much for that extra money we're paying to bring the technology up do date.

Any idea how long would be a good time to check? I know they say 180days but is that from the date of the first NOA?

Well, I had been calling USCIS once a month after we received the EAD in October. They would tell me to keep on waiting and that I had not missed an interview date or anything. I don't know if it was helpful to call, but I was at least reassured that my application had not been lost--and I had the names of the reps in case there actually was a problem. I tried calling the local office in Portland too, but they just referred me to the main USCIS number. My philosophy is, it doesn't hurt to call.

Just touching base here. Haven't been on VJ for a while. We got a letter in the mail with our interview date in late November. The interview is tomorrow Jan. 5th. Our status on the website STILL says "Case Recieved and Pending" so don't think too much about what the USCIS website says, they aren't too good at updating it. Hopefully all goes well tomorrow at the interview and we get the 10-yr GC seeing as we've already been married for over 2yrs.

Good luck to you all.

God sure is great!

For some time i was kind of concerned cause i thought that maybe they had lost our case. I kept hearing of people who had applied around the same time as us and with very similar situations and they had already gotten an interview or the card production. I had already been transferred to CA in July and until now i had not heard anything else. Well today i got great news! God sure is kind and gracious and good! ...It's got to be God who cares for you(me, us)... Hope everyone else is getting good news!

Hope this is a sign that June filers will start to happen. We received a letter today telling us ShaSha's interview date for AOS will be Feb 9th. The letter says the priority date for us was June 15th 2008 so maybe that will give hope to others in June. The USCIS web site has not updated our case yet so dont pay much attention to that. We never had any updates since July when she had her Bio appointment then the interview letter just showed up in the mail box. Take care and goodluck everyone.
