OMG BBQ!!!! As we were expecting, just got an email from USCIS.

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On December 5, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Thank you all very much for your support. We are done with USCIS until lifting conditions for another within 2 years.

Since the last time I posted here....I've got some really good news to share since then my EAD card was approved and on it's way. *yippie*

Plus to top it all off with a cherry on the top lol my husband & I just received the AOS Interview letter in the mail.

this year has been a very longgggggg year,but like the old saying goes patience is virtue.

Ok.. question for anyone.. This is very odd.. Just checked our status for the 485. Last I saw the last touch was 10/7/08 after it was transferred to the CSC. Checked today and it shows a touch as of 5/15/08??? I'm presuming their systems are acting up?? Should I call or just give it more time?

Probably just a system error...I wouldn't worry too much about it seeing as though their system ALWAYS has some sorta problem LOL

Hello, I have just registered tonight but i have been reading this thread as I also filed last June 08 and I just went to my interview today and I got approved. Below is my timeline:

06/12/08 Atty submitted package

06/20/08 Received i797C for i765, i485, i130

06/25/08 Biometric appointment received

07/15/08 Biometrics done

08/28/08 EAD Card Received

10/27/08 interview notice

12/08/08 Interview (10 min questioning, 10 min officer inputting stuff in his Comp) - approved

Interviewed in LA and was painless at all. The best 20 minutes of my life. I think I laughed more than I talked. The AO is totally GOD Send. God bless his heart.

Only questions asked were:

Name and Address

When we got married

How we met

What i do for a living (alien spouse - me)

How i entered the US

Asked for copy of my Birth cert (make sure to copy the back side as well with the NSO stamp - for Phil. filers)

Asked for evidence of joint tenancy

Lastly asked for wedding pics

I-485 questions (all NO answers) - funny thing was, AO answered them for me, lol. he did most of the talking actually.

He is the coolest!

I have no i94 but when i try to explain he just keeps talking and talking.

and then i saw him stamping my form with a big red APPROVED stamp.

My wife actually changed jobs before our interview and we amended the I864 but he didnt want it when we volunteered it.

Make sure to make copies of everything. License, SS etc. AO will love you for this.

He then said ok let me print your welcome letter. I interrupted him and told him if i could get my passport stamped instead because i have to go to Vancouver for family emergency and then he said sure i can do that. He then said i wouldnt be needing a welcome letter anymore then. I551 stamped in my passport and in my mind I screamed HALLE-FREAKIN-LLUJAH! - Can i get a amen?? lol.

And so that was it. 6 mos of freaking out, i may have developed hypertension due to stress thinking about the interview and my i94less passport. but it all worked out. God helped a lot so do a lot of praying.

To everyone who filed, not just June but the rest of all filers, Good luck and I pray for everyone to get approved.

just to add also, my status on the website didnt get touched at all from the time I filed. no emails no touches no nothing. Even though i got my EAD, status still says pending. after my interview though, i check the website and it now says card production ordered for i485. so dont worry about the updates on the website.

Congrats! I had my interview today and i everything went well. Here are the details and sequence of questions for those that are interviewing at the San Jose Local Office.

- Our appointment was at 1pm but we came in at least 30 minutes early. We didn't get called until 10mins after 1pm though so we were a little anxious for a minute there.

- The officer greeted as nicely and the first thing that he mentioned was all the paperworks looks good and he needed to check a few things. He asked for the passport, I94 and evidence of living together (ie bank statement, insurance)

- Then he went over the yes/no questions that they normally ask, of which the answers are 'no'.

- Then he asked for wedding pictures and we showed him our album.

That's about it, he said that we should get the card within 2 weeks or maybe longer due to the holidays. All in all, i would estimate that it took us 5 minutes for the whole interview.

So my advise to everyone who hasn't gone through the interview yet is to just relax. It's not that bad ;-) ..

Congratulations to all who got great news recently!!!!

I have one extra to share with you... my yesterday`s interview went very well and we got approved!!!! I`m very happy and can`t stop smiling :-)

The interview was in NJ. We had a nice IO who joked with us once she figured out we are a "real deal" :-) Well, hard not to figure that out... if you just look at us when we were waiting for our turn to be called by IO-you would know it`s gotta be real! We couldn`t stop talking to each other, making jokes and smile, and just being ourselves (yes, being a bit silly but in a way so we won`t be asked to leave the place before the interview ;-) ). Once we got into IO`s office everything went fast: guestions , pictures, proofs of our life together and all that. She liked our picture album. She saw all the picts we had and made lots of funny comments about us. The questions she asked were rendome and it was more like a nice chit-chat than an interview.

Questions:

-Names, dates of birth and address;

-when and how did we meet;

-what were we doing before we got married;

-what kind of wedding/ceremony did we have,

-what did we do after we got married; honeymoon

-do we want to have kids;

-all the YES/NO questions;

-when was the first time I came to USA and what was I doing then;

That`s all I remember! We spent maybe 15 min in her office and left with big smiles on our faces and stamp in my passport! :-) YAY!
