Yay, my GC arrived today! We're finally completely done with USCIS for a while :)

Is everyone looking forward to election day? We're excited to watch the results, hopefully by next time us June filers will have our citizenship and be able to vote!

Congratulations!! We got ours too today!

09/14/2008 - 90 days since NOA, no news about my EAD.

09/15/2008 - Called USCIS, no holds on my case, they made an inquiry on my EAD.

09/20/2008 - Got a letter saying they are working on my I-765 actively and there's nothing they could do, I have to wait for 6 more months till I'm "out of the" timeline again GRRRRRRRRRRR

09/25/2008 - Infopass appt.

Hows the job search going?I still haven't gotten any job interviews =(

hi have you tried Craigslist? I got my part time job in there..

Lots of scam jobs in Craigslist, like they will post Administrative Assistant, but it's really a work from home job..

but you can really tell which is legit. :)

And then I got my full time job in the website of a company, I just clicked careers.

I created a profile in careerbuilder too.. but I did not get any interview from there.

Good luck to your job hunting.. :) wish you will get the job you like ...

I just wanted to let you know that I got my EAD card in mail last night!!!! YAY!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Now it`s time to take care of my SSN&DL! :-) (I already visited SSN office this morning to change my name on SSN; as soon as I get my new SSN card, I`m going to DMV! :yes: ). Finally something is rolling here!!!! :energy:

It's weird...I just get this empty feeling in my abdomen when I'm thinking about tomorrow...:bonk::help:

I know it's silly as we've been a family for so long...but I guess it's just human to be nervous and have these feelings

I'll make sure I;ll say double prayers tonight :)

It depends on each case..check timelines similar to yours to get an idea...

Any idea how long (typically) after the EAD we'll need to wait before receiving an interview date?

My friend said we should call USCIS to make sure they haven't already scheduled an interview and forgot to notify us...that happened to her.

Luckily she called after not hearing from them and was able to make it to her interview...otherwise, they said they would have thrown out her application if she didn't show up.

What do you guys think??? Am I being paranoid?
