I RECEIVED MY EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION CARD TODAY!!! YEYYY :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: 1318753hrho4qy6r8.gif

Congrats!!!!!

i got another RFE today in the mail.

I`m sorry to hear that!!! :(

Hi all!

I had my interview today. I posted my interview experience in following topic:

AOS Interview experience -San Francisco

I wish the best of luck to those of you who are waiting for interview letter, EAD or green card... I am glad it's over for me until naturalization.

Congratulations!! Good to hear some good news! Thank you for sharing your interview experience with us :star:

OMG it's tomorrow!! lol...we are doing ok, just going over our package of stuff to take and hoping we have everything. I made a big 'us' scrapbook last night with all our birthday/valentines/anniversary etc cards and photos (been meaning to do it for ages, just for us as well as this!) Right now I am freaking out as my mum sent my birth cert to me two weeks ago (registered mail) and it still hasn't arrived...if it doesn't come today I won't have it to take with me :( I have a copy but hope they don't withhold possible approval if I don't have it to show them! I'll post about our experience when we get back tomorrow.

Head up! Good luck tomorrow!!!!

We had our AOS interview today at Chicago office, and there is not much to report. The interviewing lady was just extremely nice, treated us with utmost respect, and was also very efficient. It seemed like she had decided beforehand to approve us, as she asked only a few basic questions. She did not even look at any pictures we had brought along even though we had not submitted any with AOS application. After saying we were approved, she asked us if we wanted to keep the EAD and I-94 for now -- in case there is a job offer in next few days -- or deposit with her as was required. We chose to keep it till we get the green-card, so she gave her name and USCIS address to send those items once the green-card was received.

One other thing is that we had only submitted DS-3025 with the AOS packet. It was not transcribed to I-693, nor was any additional test/vaccination done. During the interview, she looked at the DS-3025 sheet for a minute but then moved on. So it looked like that is enough.

Congratuations to you too! I love good news!!!! MORE please, MORE!!!!! :content:

Hi,

I just wanted to post that I recieved my 10yr GC in the mail today.

Good luck to everyone who is still going through the process, I have my fingers crossed for you all.

Chris

Congrats !!! :star:

All right!!! That`s what I mean USCIS!!!!! MORE APPROVALS!!!! :D And now, pick me, PICK ME!!!! :bonk:;)

Good luck on Nov 3, I luv my chappara!!! I know looking for a job is not the best thing to do, but I believe the good one will come to you soon !! Smile :)

Congratulations guys! :) We will have our interview in Chicago on Nov 10th, so I was fallowing your case... Did she say something about the stamp, just in case if you need to travel before you get your card?

Thank you all! No, she did not mention or offer any stamp in passport, nor did we ask for it. BTW, do you have interview in the morning or afternoon? Somebody mentioned morning ones are the really simple ones, so they go through the approvals very quickly. That appeared to be the case while we were there.

Best of luck with your interview!!

I read that topic, too but I believe every case is different. I think everyone should take that warning with a grain of salt. I had an afternoon interview. It couldn't be any easier for me. I saw couple of others who had their interview before me. My impression was they were all leaving with a big smile on their faces. Although I didn't see when they were all going in for the interview, I know for a fact that at least one other couple had a very short interview, too. They were called less than a minute before us and we saw them again in the elevator when we were leaving.

Thank You :D

BTW-I just called USCIS and asked about service request I put in on Oct6. They replied to it on Oct 21 (but since my case is not available online, I have no way to see updates -> so I call and call and call  ). They said that my EAD is under review now, and (READ IT and SMILE or laugh-just like I did) I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 60 days for the decision to be made. :girlwerewolf2xn: I would get my EAD possibly in December...hmmm... "how nice Xmas gift would that be"?->I thought at first but then a wolf woke up in me-> :diablo: HOLA , HOLA HOOOOZE! They gotta be kidding me! I`m about to lose my sense of humor here... and that doesn`t happen often-if at all! We can`t have that! I have to go for an infopass then

PS. I`m staying calm but really feel like kicking some a$$ here!;)

Yay, we were approved at our interview today! We got a really nice AO, she was professional but still friendly. I didn't have my actual birth certificate (I guess the mail system ate it, even though it was registered mail) and she was disappointed, but said she would work around it for now. We wrongly assumed that any approval would be pending her seeing it. She just asked us for documents from the list on the letter and for evidence of our marriage. We probably have less than some people, but it seemed ok. She seemed particularly pleased with a mother's day card from my stepson and a two page hand-written affidavit from Jon's best friend. She looked through our photo album/scrapbook but didn't keep anything or ask many questions. After asking the standard 'have you been arrested' type questions from the form, she took my passport, found a blank page and stamped the 1-551 stamp. She never actually said 'you are approved', just went on to explain how she had ordered production of the card. It was a quick and pretty painless experience! If you'd like to know more, I am posting a separate thread in the 'AOS from work/student/tourist' section.

Smilegirl, good luck at the infopass! That's awful that you would have to wait another 60 days :(. Hope you get some good news soon!
