AOS june 2008 filer

Hello Heliospan or others who received AOS interview letter recently.

Your case is pretty similar than mine. I would like to ask you something:

- We also received the letter for interview (Nov 19th).

My question is:

- when you received your notice for the AOS interview, did you also received a white piece of paper "Notice to the Applicant" .. if you ever been arrested or detained, bla, bla, bla ..? Are some parts of this notice (if you received) underlined? I received one and I'm trying to identify if this is a standard notice or is something specific related to my wife's case. She was never detained or arrested by she paid on speeding ticket on court. It's underlined on the part that says "if you ever been detained or arrested ... and no charges were filed"

Yes we received this insert as well. It appears to be a standard piece of communication that goes with all interview letters as we have no criminal backgrounds or even speeding tickets.

I think there is a 99% chance that you won't have an interview

Hi everyone,

We received our green cards today!!! I didn't realise they would be here so quick and I'm so glad they're here lol!

So anyway, I guess I'm out of here for a while... until we have to file for lifting of conditions that is!!! I'm so happy to be away from the USCIS for a while.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my GC interview at the USCIS office in San Francisco today and everything went without a hitch. We arrived at 8:30am (9am appointment) and waited for our attorney to arrive. We went in through security (pretty much like an airport) and headed to the 3rd floor. We went to the reception window, gave them the interview letter and they fingerprinted me and took a photo and we then were asked to take a seat. About 10 mins later, an INS agent called our name and we headed to a small office. We swore an oath to tell the truth etc and he asked us for our passports and CA drivers licenses. He then thumbed through a big file, asked us our names, address etc basically to confirm that the details he had were still the same. He then asked the wife how and when we met, when we got married and asked if we had any children. He then asked me our address again, if i had any criminal record and then asked the date of our wedding. He then said our GC was approved and that I should get it in a month. We confirmed with him that it is a 10yr to which he said that it was a 2yr. We pointed out that we just had our 2yr anniversary to which he agreed that it will be a 10yr GC. Our attorney said that if it comes back with a 2yr expiry date on it, to let them know and they will get it corrected.

So 2yrs and 9 months till we have to deal with this again. Yay.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my GC interview at the USCIS office in San Francisco today and everything went without a hitch. We arrived at 8:30am (9am appointment) and waited for our attorney to arrive. We went in through security (pretty much like an airport) and headed to the 3rd floor. We went to the reception window, gave them the interview letter and they fingerprinted me and took a photo and we then were asked to take a seat. About 10 mins later, an INS agent called our name and we headed to a small office. We swore an oath to tell the truth etc and he asked us for our passports and CA drivers licenses. He then thumbed through a big file, asked us our names, address etc basically to confirm that the details he had were still the same. He then asked the wife how and when we met, when we got married and asked if we had any children. He then asked me our address again, if i had any criminal record and then asked the date of our wedding. He then said our GC was approved and that I should get it in a month. We confirmed with him that it is a 10yr to which he said that it was a 2yr. We pointed out that we just had our 2yr anniversary to which he agreed that it will be a 10yr GC. Our attorney said that if it comes back with a 2yr expiry date on it, to let them know and they will get it corrected.

So 2yrs and 9 months till we have to deal with this again. Yay.
