I'm still here. I've been looking for work but no luck, no one is calling me. The temp agents are slow too - they dont have any job orders Some of the job fairs - peeps just show up at their booths without having job openings??? Crazy time w/ the economy Is depressing staying home with no incoming $ but I'm still here checking out this forum now and then

Oh ja..I know what you'r saying about the economy... I am happy every day when I see that the gas price goes down...but can't help the groceries bill going up Have you noticed that some products are the same price but they reduce the weight in the package? bastards!!!

Still nothing here for the AOS.. still sitting in the CSC. Kris is also still waiting to get his start date at work. We are hoping it will be by Dec. 1st

Guys I am so frustrated.

I thought after receiving EAD everything will be (atleats) fine.

I went to SSA office to follow up with my SSN Card, they said Immigration has not responded back to confirm authenticity of my EAD card. BUt it has alreadt been 4 months. So the lady put another order, and I will have to go back to zero again. And said it might take awhile. Same thing is true with my DMV State ID, I applied for a state ID 4 weeks ago, and up to now I have not received the card. I called their office and was informed that Immigration has not approved authenticity of my legal presence.which means my card is not yet on their system. my EAD has been mailed to me since October 7, 2008 and up to now still not on their system???????????

I cant start working without Driver Licence and SSN card.. brrrrrrrr

I dont know what to do.

I also have not heard from my AOS after receiving my EAD in early October. We are moving by the Decmber 5th.

hi, don't lost hope ,,, just keep on applying.... online, in person the better, company's website, ads in Craigslist, Local newspaper classifieds. etc.

Hi folks,

I thought I should chime in and provide an update.. i've been checking (lurking actually ;-) this forum from time to time and like everybody else, i've filed my AOS June of this year. After my biometrics (July 24th), i haven't heard a squat from USCIS although I see a couple touches online on my case. But other than that, nothing. Well today, what a pleasant suprise when I see a letter from USCIS and when I opened it, it's a request for me to come over to the local USCIS office for an interview! It's dated Dec 09 so it's still a few weeks but i'm excited to hear something from them at last. I hope everything goes well for the interview but what a sigh of relief.

So for my fellow June filers, hang in there and be patient. I'm pretty sure you'll hear something from USCIS soon, they're just not so good as far as communication goes... Thanks to y'all and best wishes. I'll provide another update after my interview...

SSA office says that Immigration hasn't updated their database because my record carries my name in my passport still and not my married name so they cant issue me a card yet. I feel so frustrated because I already received my work permit in my married name so I was wondering how the hell immigration doesn't have an updated file on their system.

And also no good news on my AOS. Anyhow congratulations to everyone who got theirs.

Congrats to everyone who received EAD/IL!!!! Good to see things are moving forward!!!!! To all who still are waiting for any info from USCIS -> I know how hard it is to stay calm and wait for "your" turn to come but head up! It will come soon! :-)

I`m waiting for my SSN card and can`t wait to finally get it! I went back to SS office week after I applied for SSN card and was told my info got confirmed. I asked for "certified copy" and after receiving it I went to DMV to get my NJ DL. Unfortunately in DMV they didn`t want to accept it, they require a SSN card with all other documents. So this is what I have to do now... wait for the card to come in mail. If I won`t get it by the end of the next week, I`m going to pay SS office another visit

I know, getting everything we need and making it work together can take LONG time for us but no worries... hang in there !!! We will get everything done soon!!!

Congrats, the2ofus! When are you going home for your visit? I'm just about to book flights to go home for Christmas, the first time I've spent it with my family for 3 years

Hope everyone else hears something soon...I guess on the bright side, at least everyone (I think?) has their EAD now, so at least can work and travel...I know waiting sucks though Hopefully USCIS will give June filers some nice early Christmas gifts!

Smilegirl, good luck for your interview, I know you'll be fine. The 9th is the same day as my final written veterinary exam to be a veterinarian here, hope it is a good day for both of us!
