Thank you all! No, she did not mention or offer any stamp in passport, nor did we ask for it. BTW, do you have interview in the morning or afternoon? Somebody mentioned morning ones are the really simple ones, so they go through the approvals very quickly. That appeared to be the case while we were there.

I read that topic, too but I believe every case is different. I think everyone should take that warning with a grain of salt. I had an afternoon interview. It couldn't be any easier for me. I saw couple of others who had their interview before me. My impression was they were all leaving with a big smile on their faces. Although I didn't see when they were all going in for the interview, I know for a fact that at least one other couple had a very short interview, too. They were called less than a minute before us and we saw them again in the elevator when we were leaving.

Ours was an afternoon appt as well and the appt lasted maybe 10 minutes, very speedy approval. While we were sitting waiting, there were other couples that had speedy interviews as well - anywhere from 10-20 minutes.

We also saw a couple get interviewed separately and the 2nd spouse was being interviewed for the whole time we were waiting and being interviewed (over an hour & 1/2 total time) AND did not appear to be finished - the 1st spouse was still waiting when we left after our appt.

i got another RFE today in the mail. first one was amonth ago and it was about affiditive of support and they asked for W2 form of my wife and she has W2 form cause she is self emlpoyed and self employed has W2 form and we wrote letter explain that to them and also she has a house she can use even she make enough money to sponsor me.

today we got another RFE about 2 things one about my I-693 medical and i gave it to them at the airport but they i guess they lost it !!!

and why they didnot ask for it in the first Rfe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they also asl for joint sponsor even she make enough money and we sent them her tax papers.

about the medical examination i can do another one but about the sponsor i dont know what to do with that!!! anyone has the same situation???????

if we contact our senator that will help?????

Iam in the same situation .I received the mail yesterday both asking for a new physical and new affidavit of support and i posted it under and rfe from california.iam also a june filer.i know it's frustrating . iam given until november 28 to send them the needed documents back. I have been scheduled for a medical appointment next Monday and illtry to look for another family member of my wife and see if they can help .May Allah help us.

i m sure everything is gonna go smoothly agaain after u send them the documents they need ,, just give it time ,, dont worry about it ,,fingers r croosed for u brother ,,, i want to know if u recieved and e-mail online from uscis asking u for the RFE or u just recieved a letter in the mail ?

Yay, we were approved at our interview today! We got a really nice AO, she was professional but still friendly. I didn't have my actual birth certificate (I guess the mail system ate it, even though it was registered mail) and she was disappointed, but said she would work around it for now. We wrongly assumed that any approval would be pending her seeing it. She just asked us for documents from the list on the letter and for evidence of our marriage. We probably have less than some people, but it seemed ok. She seemed particularly pleased with a mother's day card from my stepson and a two page hand-written affidavit from Jon's best friend. She looked through our photo album/scrapbook but didn't keep anything or ask many questions. After asking the standard 'have you been arrested' type questions from the form, she took my passport, found a blank page and stamped the 1-551 stamp. She never actually said 'you are approved', just went on to explain how she had ordered production of the card. It was a quick and pretty painless experience! If you'd like to know more, I am posting a separate thread in the 'AOS from work/student/tourist' section.

Smilegirl, good luck at the infopass! That's awful that you would have to wait another 60 days . Hope you get some good news soon!

Just a quick update - we had our interview yesterday and were approved. My online status has changed to "Card Production Ordered".

Thanks!!! My I130 and I485 was last touched last july 4 i think probably bec. Of the biometrics.it still says case received jun 9,still pending and its at the national benefits center. The ead on the other hand still says card production ordered but i already got my ead, i guess they never update it. Do they inform u somehow if they transfer the case to the local office for interview? one more thing, (i do hve a lot a questions huh? Hehe) we just moved in to our first ever apt ( im just really excited) should i submit a change of address? the previous address was to my inlaws.. Or not?

I think you should call them and ask for a change of address..when calling them to do the up date on your case, you will be able to talk to an operator and see what is going on with your case as well...The fact that your previous address is with your inlaws is ok because you know you will get your letters if they are delivered over there, but on the other hand you want to make sure you are doing everything by the book and have the new address added to your file. You don't want to give them any reason to doubt your actions.

Hi!! everybody ....I just had my AOS interview last week oct. 22, 2008 and we were able to pass the interview. it wasn't hard for us because we were prepared. all the documents the USCIS needed was with us. tey only ask our ID, passport, and a little personal questions.

i will be receiving my conditional green card within 2 weeks.

Goodluck to the rest who will have their interview soon. Just be prepare and everything will be alright for you too.

The welcome letter I received says IR6. Does anyone know the difference between IR1 and IR6? Could IR1 conditional, and IR6 10 year classification?? The USCIS codes lists both as "spouse of a US citizen", but doesn't say anything else.
