NVC Autotmated System

The NVC recv'd our papers on April 25, 2006. They recv'd both the I-864 and the DS3032 on the same day.

I keep calling the NVC and all it says is " The NVC has recv'd your documents on April 25, 2006 please allow 6-8 weeks to process and notify you of the outcome"

Don't they usually say something like "we have recv'd your i-864..." something like that? Or is this the standard message?

Yeah, odd question I know Just at the final steps and the closer I get the more worried I become.

It said the same thing for mine-but then I got an RFE !!! (I corrected the problem and sent it back)

Seems that they update the system very slowly. Speak to someone, and you may find out something different.

I have my fingers crossed that you're completed !

Firstly.....I am a lil confused by your post. NVC received your papers on the 25 april.....you mean the I-130 petition? And they received the I-864.......do you mean the AOS Bill or the actual I-864? and they received also the DS-3032 both on the same day, 25 april? Im just trying to see how that all gels .......maybe I just need to go to bed

As for the automated message....they are standard responses and as a general rule it takes no where near that time frame except in some cases.

That was the standard reply we got. Also you can call back later and they will say missing or incomplete documents. Do not freak out like I did. I called and the operator laughed and said you cannot have missing or incomplete documents the form in question went to another division and was not showing as received on the recorded message line. Good luck and hopefully not much longer.

I guess all the paper work is done on my end. Just playing the waiting game now.

Once they have received everything it has only been taking a couple of weeks on average until case complete with the odd few getting case complete within days. The last of my forms were received at NVC on the 24 March and we got case complete on the 4 April.

That is a standard reply as the girls have said, you will probably be pleasantly surprised at how quickly case complete comes, well i hope so anyway ...........

I just called and got through to a person. The case was complete May 1, and now is in AP.

I just feel like sitting here at my desk and crying. I was hoping for some good news for our 2 year wedding anniversary... but it doesn't look like it will happen.

I just did a search on AP, and it looks like this may be a long wait. He said call back in a 'couple' weeks for an update. I guess I will just hang in there and see what happens.

Thanks Rose! I appreciate it. I am searching all over VJ for similar cases to try and figure out what it even is. I had such high hopes that it would breeze through and we would be back together. I appreciate everyones support!!

Here is a little bit of info........am just trying to put my finger on some other info in my files.

At National Visa Center (State Department) stage, a separate independent NCIC database check is done by in-house FBI staff in connection with information supplied in the DS-230. Based on results, NVC has the option to request full fingerprints to be taken at post. NVC checks can usually be completed in 24 hours. In some limited cases involving high-risk visa applicants meeting certain specific criteria, NVC also does Security Advisory Opinions (SOAs) before sending the file to Consular Post.

Thanks aussiewench!! Do you know if they finish AP at the NVC level, will they possibly do it again after the interview?? Maybe I will get lucky and it will move quickly. I guess with everything happening with Iran, I should have expected a few bumps in the road.
