I thought a post would make me feel better since I know everyone here is going through similar issues!

I contacted the Montreal consulate at the end of March to find out about interview dates. At that time, they told me my interview would likely be scheduled for May. When I hadn't heard anything, I again phoned around April 14 and they told me all interviews for May were booked, and I would likely be scheduled for June. My husband is here visiting this week, so we called to check on the progress yesterday, and they told us that June was now booked and they were scheduling for July. I am still on a waiting list and feeling utterly hopeless and frustrated!! How does this happen? How has the interview gotten pushed back so far?

My husband is thinking of writing a letter to his State Senator. Has anyone done this? Is it useful or not?

Thanks for your help,

Jea :help:

It's gettting pushed back because Montreal is swamped with CR-1 application from the new DCF process there. Writing your Senator a note will not help you per se, but it could make them aware of the situation there and motivate them to give Montreal more money to get more Consular Officers

Hi

I feel your pain....We are going through the same thing I called Montreal yesterday and was told

it could be another 12 weeks before my husband got an interview....But someone posted today that

they recieved an interview for June 20, 2006 and they submitted their papers In March 2006

only about 9 days before my husband did....So maybe something will happen sooner then they are saying...But yesterday I did email the Office of Inspector General..About the back log in Montreal and

ask for them to increase funding so they can bring on more employees to handle the extra work load

I don't think the email is going to help but at this point anything is worth a try...Here is the info that

was given to me from a post I had on here in another section yesterday...Also I emailed Vancouver

about letting us transfer the case to them I am still awaiting word from them to see if we can.....

Good luck to you..

Michelle

Hi guys, I know how ya feel. It's frustrating as all get out. I sent my DS230 and checklist in before both of the last two people who got interview dates and I am still waiting. My advise don't set your hopes on the timelines look at them and use them as references but when it comes down to it all it is, is the luck of the draw. The Montreal embassy got my stuff on March 2nd 2006.
