EAD Delay For Complicated Case?

Hello All I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not all EAD applications were processed in the same time frame even if a case was more complicated than another? The way I see it they would process them all the same way and then leave any clarifying to be done at the interview but maybe thats just wishful thinking. Our situation is that my husband and I had been together for about two years and I went to University on a study permit where he lived. His apartment lease was up the same time that my study permit was up in Canada and we decided to take the opportunity to visit my parents in New Jersey since he had never met them. Well my parents loved him and said stay as long as you want and he ended up proposing to me while we were here and we got married. Soooo technically he was a visitor when we came through and the honest truth is that we had no idea we were going to get married here.

Im just wondering because the Received Date on his EAD notification is March 20th, and the NOA is March 24th. Im just hoping it wont take longer because they feel suspicious about our case.

I'm just hoping that they don't get rid of the case without giving us a chance to explain ourselves.
