Just call your senator. He should be in your telephone book.

Good luck!

We called them .... spoke to the immigration team at the state Senator's office ... they emailed a release form (immediately) for The Privacy Act 1974, and we faxed that and our package to them ..... my USC Husband drew up a cover letter basically stating that he was a resident of that state and requiring help ..... explaining when we sent our file to USCIS ..... the case number etc ..... then stated which expedite criteria we were applying under ... and an outline of each of the situations under the criteria ..... then thanked the Senator at the end for his help on this matter and said that it would be an unforgetable act for our family.

36 working hours later, the expedite was approved.

If you need to add anything else under the expedite critera, please check out the "Expedite Tips" I wrote up yesterday on this forum.

I wish you luck in asking for your file to be expidited ...... My husband and i were married in Florida on August 15th 2007 we filed our I-130 on 18th October 2007 we are still waiting to be adjudicated / approved....It is a long wait and there is no need for it but i guess USCIS get thousands of applications a year but they do need to be dealing with married couples much faster!

I have not seen my husband in over 9 months so not being able to visit eachother makes it very hard to get through the distance, saying that we make it work...internet ...phone calls....i know to live our lives the right way as a married couple we should be together :)

The wait is still on for Jeff and i hoping we get approved soon :)

Hang in there :)

We have Congress enquiring our case status and beleive me they do have direct e-mail address to enquire at Vermont Service Centre on any USC case so we are hoping to hear news this week ....we only asked for help on wednesday last week.

Good luck and let us know how it goes :)

Sorry to hear of your long wait .... that's quite #######!

Yes, you're right, the Senators and Congressmen have direct contact with the service centres .... we knew exactly when our expedite was approved .... to when it was chased up for the I-130 approval and were notified exactly when VSC started adjudicating ..... all via our Senator.

It took them 1.5 hours to adjudicate our file as it was a complicated case .... the simple and straight forward ones (no kids, or anything extra to the petition) should take about 15 minutes or so depending on the typing skills of he adjudicator to input your info.

Please check out the Expedite Tips I've posted and the Human Rights stuff I posted too.

If you're USC spouse is supporting you in England, then you could be in for a financial expedite due to the US Dollar being so weak against the UK Pound ... it was one of the things we used for our expedite and was very easy to prove.

We contacted our Senator (Akaka in HI), when we needed a copy of our Approval from USCIS. After 3 months of not getting anything from those idiots, I asked my SO to ask his Senator's office to do the work. We went to his website, and he had a release form, which was faxed to their office. That was at the end of April. May 15 we get an email from CRIS saying our file was approved  , which was funny because our file was transfered to NVC in mid February without any approval notice. . . . . seriously f'd up.

But anyhoo, we finally got a copy of our formal approval from USCIS.

I contacted my senator a few weeks ago. Sent him a detailed letter with our USCIS timeline and a copy of our NOA-1. He basically told me that I have to wait until 6 months from the NOA-1 (which will be August 2008) before he could do anything. Hope you have better luck.

You need to go in 'All Guns Ablazing' with an expedite .... make it air tight, make it wriggle room free, and you've got a good chance.

I was strategizing for a couple of weeks on it .... I then came up with the last pieces of paperwork just before we faxed .... and it was a slam dunk!

Do Not mention the K1's or the H1-B's!!! .... just your case, and why you need it expedited out of USCIS.

Do check out my Human Rights thread too as you've got kids .... those people have got a lot of power.
