USCIS direct to London on expedite

Hello everyone,

I've just popped into this forum (from CR1/IR1) to ask a brief question .... hopefully someone will know the answer.

We've just been expedited out of USCIS with our I-130 and are contemplating a further expedite thru the NVC to have the file sent straight to London for processing of the DS-230/I-864 etc.

If we can do this, how do London process these forms etc?

Are they done together?

When do they bill you for the IV and AOS etc?

Are interview and medical done concurrently?

How much time do these forms normally take at London?

What sort of timeframe would I be looking at on a normal case for this part of the process?

Sorry to sound a bit stupid, but this part is not something I've researched before as I wasn't sure if we'd get the expedite.

I just want to see if there would be a benefit to ask for a further expedite at this stage as London interview pretty quickly anyway ... I hope.

Thank you for your help

Sarah

I think the problem is that you've posted in the DCF forum. We don't send our I-864s anywhere; we present them on the day of the interview, nor do we do anything with IV bills. You might check the timelines for recent timings from NOA2 to interview. It seems to take about 2 months, if I recall correctly, but that's really DCF people. I have no idea what it's like for IR1/CR1 people who have to go through NVC. Sorry!

You might try the IR1/CR1 forum instead. Alternatively, come on over to the UK forum and see if anyone there has some experience. :)

Thankyou for your reply .... this was really helpful

The fact the I-864 is presented on the day is brilliant!

The 2 months timeframe has given me a good picture of the timeframe which could be sped up on expedite

I just wanted to know how much time would be saved if I got the file sent straight to London and didn't have it processed at NVC.

Thank you again.

The I-864 is presented the day of the interview when you're doing Direct Consular Filing. Elm was explaining why you haven't received assistance in this forum. Your best advice will come from another military couple who were able to have their case expedited. I would search the site for terms like "expedite" "expediting" "london" and "military" in some different combinations. I bet there's someone else around who has been able to do the same thing. :)
