hi all...

new here, my first post - first question of which i'm sure there will be many... :)

and actually, first off, i just want to say this place has been a godsend! many thanks for whoever thought it up, and for all of you who are asking and answering. an amazing bunch of info that's already making this process very easy. many thanks.

my question - on the G-325A there is a line near the bottom "show below last occupation abroad if not shown above." i looked at the sample form in the guides area, but it actually leaves that answer blank. so...

my fiance is from mongolia, and has never worked in a foreign country - only in mongolia. so i'm assuming in this space she would enter "none" - is that correct?

i'm about 95% sure that would be correct - but i'm hoping you all can confirm that last 5%. :)

many thanks,

michael

In this context "abroad" means outside the USA, so your fiancee would answer with her current or most recent occupation. On your own G325a, you would put "none" if accurate.

ahhhhhhhhh...

i remember a scene in the movie 'grand canyon' where the main guy was about to walk into an intersection when a hand reached from behind, grabbed his shoulder, and stopped him - just as he was about to step in front of an oncoming car...

for me - you are that hand, pushbrk - MANY thanks. :)

and thanks also, pink... at least we were thinking the same!

take care,

michael

Just make sure that - since she has already listed this employment - she would therefore write 'none' in this box. (Because it's already shown above - per the instructions - this is how my wife did.) Entiende? Good Luck

You can get away with just about anything on the G325a but it doesn't matter whether the employer is already listed. You could just indicate "see current employer above" to serve the same purpose.

ah... got it, many thanks to you both. i was fixated on the 'last occupation abroad' and skipped right over the '...if not shown above.'
