Medical Exam Question

My fiancee and her five year old daughter had their medical early last week. I should have known there was a problem when it took three days instead of two, and she did not immediately call me after it was done. The little one was diagnosed with pneumonia and an enlarged heart. They gave her antibiotics and told her to come back on July 28th. My fiancee has no idea if she was approved or not. She said that they told her that they would release her results when they come back in July. Now I have to call the embassy and cancel our interview appointment that was to have taken place in a few weeks. I guess my questions are 1) What date will appear on results for my fiancee? Will they still be accepted at the embassy if the date is in May? Will I be paying another $180 for her daughter when they go back? Will I be paying another $230 for my fiancee if her results are outdated? Thanks in advance!

I am sorry for yet another delay on your process to being together. (F)

3-4days is standard medical time frame when you have medical with kids. It is due to the PDD skin test that they administer to kids. I shared about it and a little info on PDD here:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129555

Was your fiancee given immunization when they came back the 3rd day? If she received vaccines it means her xray and laboratory results were all ok and the reason why the results was not yet given to her was because they want to hand out result one time for all members of family who goes for medical. And since her daughter was asked to comeback july, she also has to wait till then before she could get her result even if she already passed. Maybe it would be so the records (hers and her daughter) would be intact.

What date will appear on results for my fiancee? her xray will have the date it was taken.. the immunization paper will have the date it was administered... it was the only thing they gave to us, no result of lab or the PE, those goes straight to embassy so I don't know.

Will they still be accepted at the embassy if the date is in May? -YES, it will still be accepted.

Will I be paying another $180 for her daughter when they go back? Will I be paying another $230 for my fiancee if her results are outdated? -Your fiancee's result won't be outdated by July since medical results are generally valid for 6months (http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3218.html) which means she don't have to pay for another medical.. as for her daughter, i don't think she will also be asked to pay again for her.

I hope I have helped... I also hope and pray that everything will be ok when they come back by July.

God be your strength. (F)
