Hi All,

I was reading about the AOS and I noticed that K1 Visa holders are required to have a I-693A with their application. We do not have one.

The Doctor of my Fiancee gave her a brown envelope with a sealed stamp, so she could not open the envelope. It was given to the Consular Officer at the Embassy. She asked for a copy of what was in the brown enevelope and the Consular officer said ithat it was not not needed.

I don't want her to have to go through a Full Physical again once in the USA. My fiancee is still in Poland till the 28th of June. Should we Contact Warsaw and the Doctor to get the DS3025 ? Should we ask the Doctor to fill out the I-693a?

Did anyone else have the same situation ? What should we do ?

Have fiancee double check to see if she has the DS 3025. A friend of mines fiancee said she didn't but found out later she had it.

The DS 3025 is in small writting at the bottom of the form.

She won't have to do another medical when in the US. Just have a Designated Civil Surgeon transfer the vaccination info from the DS 3025 to a I-693.

Read these FAQ's, Kommie. (Pinned topic at top of forum.) The greater majority of us did not submit a DS-3025 or I-693a and were approved without an RFE. The link will tell you why. If your fiancée's vaccinations were completed as part of the visa process then she should be fine. My advice is.... worry about an RFE when, and if, it arrives.

My husbands doctor in Warsaw wouldn't give a copy of the DS3025, stating that the Embassy gave specific instructions not to give out copies. So when he got here, we took his vaccination records from Poland and headed to a civil surgeon. We forked over $50 for the CS to fill out the I-693A. We did not have any RFEs. I'm not sure why anyone would suggest not sending out all the required info, and risk delays/problems.

Your fiance can try to contact the Dr in Warsaw for the form, some others in the Polish forum have had success obtaining copies, so I guess it depends on the doctor/office and what info they rec'd from the US Embassy.

Good Luck.

The reason why is in this link.

Some countries allow K non-immigrant visa applicants to defer their vaccinations until after they arrive in the U.S., which is why they request the I-693a..... because the DS-3025 was not a part of the package handed in at the POE. Some countries require that the vaccinations be completed as part of the visa process. Therefore, the DS-3025 IS included in the package and an I-693a vaccination supplement is not required.
