I go visit my girl friend for 5-6 mounts, first time I went to visit her I said I know her for a couple of month, they asked who she was for me, a friend then. But now it is my gorlfriend, would they think I try to illigaly immigrate, what should I say if they ask if I am thinking to marry or immigrate, cause I do think about it, but I will not do it now and not without the K1. Thanks

Tell the exact truth, that you are visiting your girlfriend. If they ask for how long say you are planning on staying for 6 months and then returning to Canada. Be prepared to show them proof of your ties to Canada. If they think you are staying for that long they will want to know how you are supporting yourself financially (you are not allowed to work while in the US), and they will want to know that you are not going to remain in the US.

This is going to be the hard part because how are you maintaining ties to Canada for those 6 months? Do you have a job? Do you have classes? Do you have an apartment lease or mortgage? Do you have bills and responsibilities still in Canada? If you have none of these, it is likely that you will not be allowed to enter the US because they will feel you have no incentives to return to Canada. US border authorities assume that every person who crosses the border every time is an intending immigrant and it is up to you to prove to their satisfaction that you are only a visitor.

Good luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
